Anyone have experience with exporting to other Linux boxes a Windows share mounted on one Linux box? I dont think its a OS problem, Im using suse 8.1. If you log into the windows box as root you can see the groups and the users in the groups. Any other user including domain admins can not. This would indicate that there is a problem with samba, either with ACLs accessing group information or passing group/user information from the system to a smbd process owned by a user other than root.

Hi, I have the same error message as Kristyan Osborne's original post. What I did was I removed the machine account from smbpasswd and passwd and created same account names, joined the domain again and somehow it worked again. Hi, I've looked though the archives but i've only found stuff on smbfs. What is the deal with the 2GB limit. I have a NT box do a backup though windows backup to a samba share (samba 2.2.5 on SUSE 7.1 kernel 2.4.18). When it gets to 2GB it stops and won't go any further. Is it possible to, or could it possibly be a future upgrade to have a comma separated list of machines so that you can shutdown several machines at one time. Hi, A weird problem ... My PDC is running samba 3.0 cvs from a couple of weeks ago. the os level is set to 65 and that machine has been the master for my domain for ages, until last night. A win2k client machine stoll the domain and made itself the master for the domain, hence a few problems.
