I'm using IAXTalk from Telappliant for my incoming/outgoing calls to the pstn network; if I set my codec to GSM everything works great - no pauses but quality is a bit poor. For some reason, CentOS 4.1 waits approximately 3-5 min at the "Determining host name and domain" during kickstart. RedHat 7.1, RedHat 9.0, RedHat Enterprise 3.0, and even CentOS 4.0 do not have this problem using the same kickstart server (my kickstart server is configured to kick all of them). Hey folks, I did some googling on this but did not come up with much. I'm using rsnapshot which uses rsync, and I notice some pretty long pauses in the xfers as you can see on this graph from "munin". THe machine in question right at the moment is doing nothing but rsyncing ( rsnapshoting ) some 12T of NAS storage to local disk, so there is nothing else going on at all.
