Samba4 as BDC on a Win2003 AD_PDC
HI, I have a Windows 2003 as AD PDC. My intention is disable this Windows and use Samba4 instead. I have compiled Samba 4.1.12 on Debian 7 without problems. I followed Samba Wiki to Join this machine to Win domain, without to do the Samba4 provision steps, as mentioned. The join process occurs without errors and all strutcture of Wind2003 was replicated to Samba4. All modifications done on

Semi Off Topic My searching hasn't found what I consider superior info, and we are wondering from others experience on this list... In the logwatch results we all see the info below on almost a daily basis I have taken the liberty of combining logwatch results from centos 4 and 5 machines for extra info and future searchability ----- Centos 4 ----- --------------------- httpd Begin

Very odd musiconhold
I've followed the docs on how to configure musiconhold. I then added an extension to test it like this: exten => 6601,1,WaitMusicOnHold(30) And when I dial that extension I do hear something for 30 seconds - but it is not what I'd call music... it sounds more like the sound effects from a scifi flick - now and then it sounds like jail cell doors closing and echoing. Kinda cool but

How does the jitter buffer "catch up"?
> (PS, if you do use threads, protect speex_jitter_put/get with a mutex > (CRITICAL_SECTION I believe they're called in Win32Speak) -- calling put > and get at the exact same time from different threads leads to "features") I've never tested this, but I designed the jitter buffer to work from two threads even without using a mutex. This would work as long as there is

If i call it using @luser = LeviUserController.new; @luser.show_userland; I get an error with a nil

Odd bug in Siemens C460IP ?
Hello, I think I have encountered an odd bug in Siemens C460 IP/dect handsets, which is a bit annoying, and I'm not (yet) sure how to get round it without lots of hacks. Basically, on all external incoming calls, we set: exten => s,n,SIPAddHeader(Alert-Info: Bellcore-dr2) This causes handsets (i.e. Cisco 7960 / Grandstream / aastra) to set a different ring cadence so to differentiate

Looking for suggestions: How to strip attachments from mails
Hi, I know this is not 100% on-topic, but I'll try anyway... I'm looking for a way to strip attachments from incoming mails on the server. The attachments should be stored on a file server (where users have access via SAMBA) and only a link to the file (UNC path) should remain in the mail body. This is to prevent the mail storage from filling up with a large amount of big mails where

My "needs". Can Wine be a solution for me?.
Hello all: I need to use MS Access 97 and MS Word 97 in my job. I need too to visit every day a web that is designed to be viewed exclusively with MS Internet Explorer. These are the things that keep me attached to Windows 98. I tried to solve the paranoic constant rebooting of the computer with a VMWare virtual machine but it's too resource-wasting. Before beginning to spend time on
