More than one logon script, can I have?
Hi,
RH7.3, Samba 2.2.8a, Win2KSP4 clients...
I was just wondering,
I know I can have a logon script based on a machine name, on a group, a
username, etc., but am I able to actually have a combination of the
above?
I would like to have a standard group logon script (which I currently do
have), but I would also like an extra script to run if they log on to
particular machines under my domain...

multiple ldap servers in bdc/pdc environment
Hi all,
I'm setting up a number of samba DC's across several branch offices
using the Samba 3.0.0 release's native LDAP support. I'd like to build
some redundancy into my setup, such as having slave LDAP servers in case
the master is down/unavailable. However, when I have multiple ldapsam
entries in my smb.conf I get duplicate or triplicate users listed when

Hello,
I am doing a samba pdc with ldap. When I try to login to the domain, or
access some shares I get this in my ldap logs:

SAMBA VERSION: 2.2.4
ERROR(S): Profile Creation
I have recently been assigned to create a Samba PDC. Earlier in the
week, I thought I was successful. I was able to log in, load (or create)
the test user's .ntprofile, etc. Went home that night, happy as could be.
Came back the next day - and nothing was working correctly. The systems
could not find the domain. The domain was not

Re: Coming round to SURS...
i have a question for the people who sponsor the samba team.
"when are you going to realise that your money is being
wasted by not sponsoring me as a design architect on
NT compatibility software suites for unix?"
here - yet again, another demonstration of how much money you have
been wasting.
hopefully this time this "really new" proposal - i.e. yet

Re: How do I force Samba to update shared printer list? (2.2.6-pre2)
Try : killall -s HUP /usr/sbin/smbd
is causes that smbd rereads its config.

Tired Of Competing With Your Referrals For Referrals ? (PR#3251)
My name is James Hammond.
We've worked on previous and current projects. We've been working on a multitude of projects...paying our fees and building our downlines.
Have you noticed a big enough return for your efforts? Or, is it more of a scenario where you may see some profit, watch your downline unfold as they realise their downline isn't paying, and then be left paying a fee to

Pam module leaks information
Hello All,
Im using OpenSSH 4.1 with a proprietary pam module. This module does allow
or deny access to the accound based on a policy file settings. Now if I deny
the access to an account and attempt to connect to the sshd server for that
account with valid password, it quickly returns to next prompt. When I try
it with invalid password, it took some time to return to next prompt. Im
wondering if

Help with PHPconfig setup??
Hi,
Just giving phpconfig a try but can't find and setup instructions..
What I have done so far..
1. Copied the phpconfig files to the web dir on the server.
2. Edited the manager.conf and enabled manager access and setup an
accound (really just copied the sample config but set my own username
and secret)
3. Made /etc/asterisk/* world writable. (I guess I should have made the

Samba and ldap referrals
All,
If I set up a BDC with a replicated ldap server, can I point the "ldap
backend" and "idmap backend" options *both* to the localhost and enable
a referral on the slave so that writes (ie Idmap updates) will be
referred to the master server?
I'm running debian unstable with openldap 2.4 (and libs) and Samba
3.0.30.
I know I should use the new idmap interface but this

Referrals/Success Stories would be greatly appreciated
Hello,
I am looking to replace my company's Avaya Merlin Magix system with
an Asterisk based PBX when our current lease is up. I had a meeting
with upper management yesterday, and they would like some assurance that
other companies are running Asterisk with success. We are a relatively
small company, with about 70 total extensions. I would be purchasing a

Because a compatible client will use the capability as advertised by the
server,
and then fail because the server is not honouring its promise.

smbldap-tools dont handle referrals
Dear List,
I've a ldap setup with one master and one slave server replication via
slurpd and with an "updateref" entry on the slave server, so all
modifies on the slave server get an referral to the master server.
For some kind of loadbalancing we have a dns roundrobin entry which
points as well to the master as to the slave.
Unfortunately it seems that the smbldap-tools are not

The number of maximum ticket referrals has been exceeded
Hi,
I have a AD domain based on 2 Ubuntu servers running Samba 4.1.17
I've successfully added a number of windows and linux clients to the domain.
I now tried adding an extra Linux printer server. When I try to access the
server from a Windows client, I am asked to enter a username and password
(altough I am already logged in to the domain). Whatever username and
password I enter access is

Nothing is wrong with STARTTLS (if the client supports it)! In my case
I disabled referrals chasing in roundcube, as workaround.
The reason I ask here is: MS DC gives a different response, and looks

LIST.CGI template referrals?
This may sound stupid, but what is the URL to bring up the other templates,
such as statistics.html, etc?
I know that http://myserver.com:8000/list.cgi brings up mountlist.html, but
what would I use to bring up statistics.html, info.html, etc? And is there
a way to formulate my own templates, like (customtemplate.html), and have
the list.cgi parse them too via a URL?
Thanx!
