FreeBSD as a PDC
Hello all, I was using Samba 2.2.5 on a Linux machine as a PDC and it was working fine. But know I installed FreeBSD 4.7 in this machine and installed Samba 2.2.6pre2. It's still working as a PDC, but I can't add machine trust accounts because FreeBSD doesn't accept $ in its usernames. How should I do now? Thanks in advance.

Samba 3.0.23c panic
Hi, I've just updated (using yum under fedora 5) to the latest version of samba and am now encountering a major problem with samba. Whenever I attempt to access shares (don't have printers or other such non disk shares) the access fails (after prompting for password, and performing some level of authentication, it notes if no password is entered that Anonymous login successful).

Hi there - apologies for the long-ish mail! I recently performed a SuSE online update to my system, and since then Samba has refused to work properly. After the update, nmbd produces the infamous message: Aug 29 19:26:39 linuxserver nmbd[7208]: [2003/08/29 19:26:39, 0] nmbd/nmbd_responserecordsdb.c:find_response_record(235) Aug 29 19:26:39 linuxserver nmbd[7208]: find_response_record:

It goes out of the window, or it stays in windows
I have installed RedHat Linux 7.2 and tried to get Samba working. I have tried a lot, but I keep bouncing the fact that on the linuxserver it is not possible to lookup itself using: nmblookup linuxserver. All other machines in the network are ok. I can find them through the nmblookup easy. Broadcast is ok, subnet mask brought back to 255.255.255.0, in fact it seems that all is in place as I have

Hello all, I am having an issue with a BT-101 and * . When dialing a number from the BT-101, upon the remote side answering, the call is established but no audio is passed in either direction. Should ICMP port unreachable generate a BYE request?
Hi all, I'm researching random call drops on our Asterisk and would like to make sure whether it's something wrong with our VoIP provider or with the Asterisk. I sniffed traffic between Asterisk and our VoIP provider's SIP gateway, and observed that in the middle of the conversation an RTP stream originating from Asterisk gets an ICMP port unreachable from provider's SIP gateway
