Winbind!
Hello, I am running Red Hat 7.3 Samba 2.26 and winbind. I have been able to join the domain and test all of the following with these commands. All works great. winbind -u winbind -g getent passwd getent group But when I set up a share to test with one domain user account it just presents me with a password dialog box and does not accept anything. It should not prompt me but if it does

FW: my printers are still paused in Win2k and WinNT 4.0
Jim, Not only does the buffer scrapper code show paused if the Printer name is something like CSQ_office_a but if the host has off in the name like --> hp@mercylaboffice.pa-ucl.com it puts it on pause... Problem with SAMBA & Winbind
I have SAMBA & Winbind working quite well. Users are able to login with DOMAIN+username. With SAMBA sharing using the following config snipit, each user can see their home directory from their Windows machine, but when they try to access the directory, they are prompted for username/password. No combination of username or password seems to work. comment = Home Directories browseable

Why does the Win2K print monitor say Paused when prin ting?
If you're using LPRng, add :done_jobs=0 to either the .common section or each printer's entry. This will remove the (retained) last job printed, and you won't see it displayed as Paused anymore. It seems that if Samba sees a job in the lpd queue dir that has been printed, but not removed, it shows that job with a status of Paused. LPRng after 3.8.10 defaults to :done_jobs=1, and

Winbind and SAMBA, what next?
Hi all, I've had a long ride setting up SAMBA and Winbind, essentially what I'm trying to do at the moment is transfer the file server from the Win2k server to a Linux machine to east the strain and spread the network traffic out over different switches. I am using SAMBA 2.2.5 and Debian 3.0. I have SAMBA working fine, I can browse the Public and Temp shares and write to them from a

2.2.7 and printer status
Hallo Samba-Team, thank you for 2.2.7. The only problem I found is an old one: status of printers served from samba on Windows 2000 I'll try to explain this so clear as possible: If I have a Windows user "Administrator", which is in Windows administrative group "Administratoren" and this user is on Samba-side *mapped* to "root" --> printer status is *ok*.

seg fault joining domain
I upgraded my Samba alpha 21 to alpha 22 and the clients stoped accessing the shares. As I have experienced this before, I started the debugging process, until I reached the part of joining the win2k Domain. Thats where things crash with the following message: [2003/03/18 11:13:59, 1] libsmb/clikrb5.c:krb5_mk_req2(256) krb5_cc_get_principal failed (No credentials cache found) [2003/03/18

[LLVMdev] neon registers llvm using
Hi, Everyone: Can anyone let me know the default NEON registers llvm going to use with armv7 devices? For example, d10 and d11 are treated as default zero? I am using Xcode5 + llvm and I got a case that compiler will generate neon codes " vst.8 {d10, d11}, [r1] " from C codes: "int aMV[4]; ...... aMV[0] = aMV[1] = aMV[2] = aMV[3] = 0; " and I

general question about samba.
Hi there, I'm fairly new to the linux community so excuse my ignorance. I've setup a test network with w2k serer and linux rh 8.0. I'm using kde and trying to configure samba for file sharing between both. Is samba already setup by default or do I need to download the packages? Is there any decent doc's for this type of setup? Samba ON NT?
Has anyone tried to compile Samba on Windows 2000? I know it's a weird idea, but I don't like the fact that W2K shares c$, d$, RPC$, etc. With Cygwin, I didn't get past configure, it complained that locking was unavaliable and bombed out. Is it technically feasable to get Samba running on Cygwin? (I disabled Server&Co in my Services already :} ) Thanks! --Brandon Bergren (Please

[LLVMdev] Can the FileCheck ignore spaces ?
"--strict-whitespace By default, FileCheck canonicalizes input horizontal whitespace (spaces and tabs) which causes it to ignore these differences (a space will match a tab). The/--strict-whitespace/ <http://llvm.org/docs/CommandGuide/FileCheck.html#cmdoption--strict-whitespace>argument disables this behavior. End-of-line sequences are canonicalized to UNIX-style ā€˜nā€™ in all

Printing in w2k. Access denied, unable to connect & F ailed to open retrying
add :done_jobs=0 to your /etc/printcap printer entries to get rid of the Paused jobs. search back through the archives of the last month or so; look for disable_spoolss, guest ok=, printing=lprng, access denied, retrying, [print$], map to guest= read through printer_driver2.html a couple of times A couple of the posts spell out most of what you're looking for-good luck finding them.

[LLVMdev] Can the FileCheck ignore spaces ?
http://llvm.org/docs/CommandGuide/FileCheck.html says FileCheck ignores white spaces/tabs by default unless you use "--strict-whitespace" option. 2013/3/15 Shawn <shaolin.xie at ia.ac.cn>: > Hi all: > I'm writing testcase for the MC layer regression in llvm, the > disassembled string is a bit complicate, for example: > "IALU.T0 (I0) = BIU0.DM ; REPEAT
