Tramo-seats
Working - among other things- in the field of (short & long term) electricity forecast, we are now using too many & too expensive pieces of licensed software: SAS, SPSS, EViews. This "sedimentation" is due to the fact that my predecessors in the past used different consultant companies to manage each procedure. Having attended the useR2004! Conference with the aim of assessing

TRAMO-SEATS confusion?
Dear R People: When looking at the previous postings regarding TRAMO-SEATS, I am somewhat puzzled. Is it true that we CANNOT replicate TRAMO-SEATS because of licensing or ownership issues, please? If not, would anyone be interested in an R version of it, please? Thanks, Sincerely, Erin Hodgess Associate Professor Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences University of Houston -

TRAMO/SEATS and x12 in R
I have a Mac OS X system. To deal with a long monthly electricity demand time-series I use the procedures TRAMO/SEATS with the MS-windows only Demetra programme and X12 under R resorting to the awkward - as far as the output is concerned - x12 R package running the relating Fortran code. I wonder if someone out there has attempted to translate TRAMO/SEATS and X12 into R native language? Ciao

seasonal adjustment
Are any seasonal adjustment programs, like Tramo/Seats, Census X12 ARIMA or Berliner Verfahren implemented in R? I am doing a simulation study and I don't know how to adjust the series in R. The possibility to access external the exe.files of the seasonal adjustment programs seems to be quite difficult. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Ingo

call center 20 seats
What kind of call center: inbound, outbound or both? how many lines per agent will you have? what kind of trunks will you be using? do you need to tie into an existing database? do you want screen-pops? Problem with R version 2.6.0
I just installed R 2.6.0 (had R 2.5 before). Here is my problem. Usually, when I work with R I first go to "File->Change dir" and browse to a folder that seats OUTSIDE of the folder "C:\Program Files\R\R-2.6.0" and then create my script there (and open and re-open it there). I never had any problems with R 2.4 or R 2.5. However, after I installed R 2.6.0, R crashes every

dovecot-LDA and fromwho-argument
Hello, I?m using dspam 3.6.3 in combination with Dovecot, procmail and Sendmail. Everything works fine but I want to replace procmail by dovecot-LDA. A few changes to dspam.conf results in a takeover by dovecot-LDA. Unfortunately this is where it goes awry; besides the ?d argument (user), dspam also supplies the ?f argument (fromwhom). The use of the ?f argument results in an error because

Realtime: Should I say or should I go (now) ?
Hi, I'm working on a 500 seats Asterisk project. I'm wondering whether or not I should consider using Asterisk Realtime and a database to manage phones registrations. Stories in Dev mailing list say Realtime is mis-used or should be improved. So, what's the bottom line ? Can I consider anything I can do with .conf files can be done with a combination of .conf files and Realtime.

Need More Simultaneous Voice Channel Capacity on Asterisk
Hi, We are testing Asterisk (1.2.5, configured for an IP PBX) for the number of simultaneous multiple VoIP calls supported. Whenever we increase the number of SIP end points over 250, or the equivalent of 125 caller-callee pairs, our testing fails. In fact, adding even one additional pair of end points over the 250 makes all end points fail. I have pasted the console diagnostics posted by
