Correct me if I'm wrong. With Samba 2.2.5, there is no way to get a group of users to manage printers so they be able to select/deselect duplex mode, tray, etc. Although I'm able to add a group with the Security tab and give them appropriate permissions, it doe not work from the user side - all the settings are still grayed out. Hello, I was looking at the ldap authentication code (in 2.2.5) and it looks like there is no support for having multiple ldap servers for authentication (ie, if one is not responding, try from a backup). Does anyone have a patch to add this functionality? If not, I'll go ahead and do it but I wanted to check to see if it has already been done first. Thanks, Nathan Ehresman

Chris, I did this very thing although I can't tell you how because it just worked right without my having to do anything. I am not having the server automatically download the drivers so maybe that has something to do with it. I keep my drivers on s share and then have to go pick them when I install a printer. All of my print queues from cups update my windows boxes about every 3 seconds.
