NT network can't browse Samba
Hi,
I'm trying to setup a Linux box with Samba (1.9.18p10) and it isn't
having any luck making a home for itself on the network.
If I go to a Windows95 machine, I see all (well most) machines on the
net there, but not the Linux box. I can also not see any other machines
from the Linux box.
Here is log.nmbd output that repeats every 5 seconds or so:

Win98 command line vs. long filenames
I just cranked up Samba 2.0.6 on NetBSD-sun3 1.4. The clients are
Windows 98 (non-SE). I have had experience with earlier versions of Samba,
so I was able to get 2.0.6 up and running without great difficulty. I
exported a directory and was able to mount it on my Win98 machines fine.
Using Explorer, everything looked like I expected it to: files were
listed with their full names and I was able

Dovecot's deliver trouble (...probably bug?)
Hello everybody!
I am a Linux admin trying to move my mail
system based on qmail to the software which is more spam-protected:
exim4 + dovecot-1.0rc15 + pgsql . I've downloaded and rebuild dovecot
from src.rpm (for fc4). During
the testing stage I've discovered two troubles:
1) the problem with deliver (...I'm not sure it's a really bug). Here

Critical XRay fixes for Arm32
I see. Thanks for clarifying.
I'm Ok with merging these if Dean agrees, as I believe he's the code owner.
Thanks,

Critical XRay fixes for Arm32
I'm wondering why the lit tests didn't catch this as part of testing rc1 on ARM.

Critical XRay fixes for Arm32
How is XRay tested? IIRC, Renato didn't see any test failures on ARM?
Merging sounds reasonbaly, I'd just like to understand what's the risk
for the branch.

[LLVMdev] Support for "foreign" Visual Studio 64 bits C++ exceptions?
Hi,
We are currently porting our application to Windows 64 bits (amd64), and we are getting regressions from 32 bits relatively to LLVM 3.0's ability to get traversed by "foreign" Visual Studio C++ exceptions. That is, there is a crash when C++ exceptions which are thrown from Visual Studio code, are unwinding through LLVM code before being eventually catch by other Visual Studio

Sorry, I initially included LLVM-Commits rather than LLVM-Dev. Fixed.

Fail to detect DTMF over direct ISDN pri link
Hello,
I'm using Asterisk (latest CVS head) to perform outbound call as
robot/testing tool for an IVR platform, with a Wildcard T100P configure as
ISDN Pri.
For develop the exten context script I was using a real PSTN ISDN Megalink
(DMS100) to reach the platform and my script was able to correctly detected
the DTMF tone send back by the platform to synchronize the script.
But for load test,

Missing value in circ.mean and polar.plot
Hi,
I try to compute circular means for a matrix with NAs, but the function "circ.mean" return only means for lines with complete values and do not accept "na.omit=T" or "na.rm=T", or "na.action=na.omit", or "na.fail=T".
Also, I try to use "polar.plot" of the package poltrix with the same matrix, but angles are not display because of

Quadratic Programming
Hi all!
I have a little question concerning quadprog. To make it simple I'll start by stating the problem:
I want to minimize
h(d,delta)=0.5d^T B d +nabla(f(x))^T d +rho*delta^2
With respect to d\in R^n and delta \in R. I obviously have constraints (depending on both d and delta).
Solve.QP does give me a good result for d but I cannot obtain anything for delta. Simce dim(Dmat)=n and

Scalix install on CentOS
Hey All,
I read on the list here not to long ago a work around for the following
error on CentOS for installing the scalix mail server...
Error: unsupported OS release: CentOS release 4.2 (Final) on x86_64
Someone posted a fix where you could edit a file changing the name of
the OS or something to fix this. Anyone remember which file it was I
could edit and what I needed to edit it too

Broadcast resolve broken!
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody had this problem. If I use nmbclient to
resolve a name, I get 'name_query failed to find name xxxx'.
No names get resolved, but if I use smbclient with the same name and
specify the IP everything is fine.
Just as additional info, ping, telnet etc work fine, I have 'name
resolve order = lmhosts wins bcast host' in smb.conf with 'wins support

XRay: Demo on x86_64/Linux almost done; some questions.
Hi Dean,
I have a question for 32-bit platforms. I see in the code that you used the
following in compiler-rt/trunk/lib/xray/xray_interface_internal.h :
struct XRaySledEntry {
uint64_t Address;
uint64_t Function;
unsigned char Kind;
unsigned char AlwaysInstrument;
unsigned char Padding[14]; // Need 32 bytes
};
And the peer code in llvm/trunk/lib/Target/X86/X86MCInstLower.cpp :

Removed a call to EmitXRayTable() from ARMAsmPrinter
Hi Renato,
As far as I understand, such issues should be caught by the tests in compiler-rt/test/xray/TestCases/Linux.
I found the following lines in compiler-rt/test/xray/lit.cfg that seem to disable the tests for non-64-bit targets:
if config.host_os not in ['Linux'] or config.host_arch.find('64') == -1:
config.unsupported = True

some infos
Hello all,
I am looking for a solution where people can use Asterisk as an
answering machine where with a password they can post voice message to a
server in mp3 format. It's for journalists that they are far from the office
''like correspondents'' can put their job for the final diffusion server. Do
you think Asterisk can do this job (I think yes, but not sure)

AFS and tokenforwarding
For some reasons the afs tokenforwarding stuff has changed
siginificantly from v 2.9p2 to 2.9.9p2.
This makes it impossible to use public key authenticication in a
standart AFS environment.
I don't know the reasons for these changes.
In any case attached is a patch which restores the old behaviour.
Regards
Serge
