I am putting a rails stack on a debian linux box. Ezra did a great job with his tutorial <http://brainspl.at/rails_stack.html> What I am in doubt is what is recommended / common practise to install stuff which is not availble yet with apt-get (eg. ruby 1.8.4, postgresql 8.1, lighttpd). the options I played with (=> and the conclusion): compiling from source (get source straight from

In the interim, should we just go ahead and make them availble via our account ? Regards -- Karanbir Singh +44-207-0999389 | http://www.karan.org/ | twitter.com/kbsingh GnuPG Key :

Visual Studio support
I'd like to add support for CELT in a C# application. To do so, I'd like to build CELT as a static library using VS which I would then wrap with C++/CLI so I can access the encode/decode funtionality from within C#. Is it possible to compile CELT using Visual Studio? The first issue I ran into was that VS doesn't support the 'restrict' keyword. It does have __restrict which

All- I am considering an Asterisk implementation in Brazil. Unfortunately, this presents something of a challenge to plan sitting in Chicago, USA. I know there is a large section of Brazillian Asterisk users who actively read this list- so I'd love to pump out a few questions- note, I'm not necessarily a newbie, having successfully implemented a few Asterisk boxes here in the US. R on 64-bit Windows
In the R for Windows FAQ (2.7.2) we have under 2.2: "There is no specific version for x64 Windows, but the standard 32-bit version works well enough." Does that include the handling of huge data sets? What I have read in other places indicates that the answer is "No". If so, will there be a 64-bit version availble soon? When I websearch for 64-bit MinGW it seems to exist out
