Problem with Samba PDC and WIN2000
Hi,
I just installed a Samba Server as a PDC and my WIN9X machines worked
just fine, but I can?t join WIN2000 Clients to the domain.
I created the Trust Account but when a join the domain I get the message.
"The following error occured attempting to join the domain "TECNICO""
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password
Also, in the /var/log/samba/taller.log I got

PDC error; can not open passdb database
I am looking to setup a domain server. I have tried and tried and this is the closest I have gotten so far.
The main problem I have is in the user authentication. I am getting an error that the user or password is wrong. Currently it looks like Samba can not access the passwd file. What is this file?
My log for the client give this error:

Please help with winbind setup
I have been (unsuccessfully) trying to get this up and
running for the past few days. I have successfully
setup samba itself NUMEROUS times but this winbind
stuff has me stumped.
I have built a fresh box for this server using Turbo
Linux server 6.5 and samba 2.2.2. I have followed all
the docs and man pages that i could find.
1. I have samba compiled (using --with-winbind
--with-pam) and

samba pdc smbpasswd error
I have gotten samba to allow an xp client to logon to the domain server
before, my problem now is doing exactly that on a different machine.
I can browse files, but I get an access is denied error upon join.

Problems joining existing domain W2K SP4 and Samba 2.2.8a
Hi all, I seem to be having some weird problems while trying
to add a workstation to an existing domain. Samba 2.2.8a is
running on FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE-p17 and all the clients have
Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 installed.
This particular workstaion was part of the domain until its
hard drive went under. The drive had to be replaced with a
new one, the OS was installed and now when I try to

security=domain problems
Hi all,
We are having some problems getting a solaris 9(sparc) file server
running samba 2.2.2 to authenticate aginst a windows NT 4 PDC. Let me
say first that this was all working at one time, then we had some data
corrumption on our NFS mounted /usr/local, and had to restore from tape.
Due to some issues with solaris ufsdump and ufsrestore, stuff was not
quite put back properly. We do

Queue Agents on Remote Asterisk server?
Hi,
I have a main Asterisk server, and a server at a branch location
connected via a IAX2 trunk. I want to have a queue at the main
location that has people from both locations as members. I got this
working, but the trouble comes when the round-robin logic selects a
member at the branch office to call. If that user is unavailable,
their voicemail answers the call, and the main server

[LLVMdev] what is the Line number of Phi Node with addr2line
reg2mem does not eliminate phi nodes the way codegen does, it just
converts ssa values to non-ssa values.
It's not the same thing.

[LLVMdev] what is the Line number of Phi Node with addr2line
Hi, Daniel
I want to profile load/store operations, in order to reduce the overhead of
profiling, I try to instrument the optimized llvm ir, which has phi nodes.
BTW, when the value of some load/store operations may have multi-source,
then the load will be translated into phi nodes, and all phi nodes are
placed in the front of BB. Sometimes, the position is not where the load
happens, is there

ipip setup issues
Hi
I am trying to setup an ipip tunnel to another linux router and am having serious
problems.
A bit of background first though because we may be going at this from the wrong angle.
I have a router that runs bering firewall of a CF flash card that is going to act as
a gteway for the amateur radio amprnet network. Heres what I need from it-
I have an internal network 192.168.1.1 etc and a

[LLVMdev] what is the Line number of Phi Node with addr2line
Hi, all
When compiling a program with -g -O0, and if we have a PC, then with
addr2line, we can get the line number of the instruction.
My quesions are: what is the result of Phi node instruction, can we get
the similar results ?

[LLVMdev] Use clang to generate LLVM IR with -O3, how to visit these load operations after -reg2mem
Hi, all
I want to instrument load/store operations in LLVM IR. And I find the LLVM
IR generated with flag -o3 is much more efficient than -o0, so I try to
instrument on these optimized LLVM IR, but, some load operations are
changed to Phi loads. Then, I try the -reg2mem flag to remove these phi
nodes.
The problems are:
1) I use visitLoadInst to collect these load operations, and it seems I

[LLVMdev] How to recognize the declaring code scopes of stack variables
Hi,
If I want to know where the stack variables are declared? For example,
whether it is declared within a loop or not? Like variables a[100] and
temp.
int a[100];
for( int i = 0; i < N; i++){
int temp;
}
Can this be done in LLVM IR? Or should be implemented in Clang.
Thanks!

[LLVMdev] Regarding scope information for variable declaration.
Hi Eric,
I was considering machine instructions to get scope information. And variable declaration does not correspond to machine instruction, hence the problem i.e. no scope associated with it.
If 'i' is initialized in the 'if-scope' then we get 'variable i' mapped to correct scope as corresponding machine instruction is generated for this.
This is not a problem as we

directory permissions
I have just finished replacing a client's Windows / Exchange / IIS setup
here with Samba / [Postfix, UW Imap] / Apache and I've run into an issue.
In this setup, Samba acts as PDC, so there are NO WINDOWS SERVERS - only
win clients. One of the apps that they run seems to explicitly require
that the user own the folder that they are saving to. In their prior
setup, this was easy, as

running windows XP to

when we
try to log onto them using a "domain" account we get the following error on

PC:
