NTP strangeness...
In our network we found some client with clock differences.
Some machine have effectively some troubles, eg have NO 'Windows Time'
service defined, probably some glitches happened when moving from our
old NT-like domain.
Anyway, catching for that, we have found some other strangeness.
Windows time service run:

Help page of colors() : add a new example ?
Dear all,
May I suggest to add an example in the help page of the colors() function ?
The following code could be useful to easily choose any color from colors() :
## Millot G. (2011), p.71.
## Figure displaying all the 657 built-in color names of colors().
palette(colors())
tempo<-NULL
for(i in 14:1){tempo<-c(tempo, rep(i,50))}

Fit Gompertz' curve'
Hi,
I build a graph taking into account the times: 1,
2,4,6,8,10,12,15,18,21,24,28,32 and 48.
Be that the scale of the X axis does not look right. It
seems equidistant. (graph attached)
What changes have I to do in the following commands so that
the scale be correct?
interaction.plot(Tempo, Trat, Valor, ylim=c(0, 2), las=1,
lty=c(1,2,3,4), lwd=3, bty='l',

eapply weirdness/bug
The following looks like an 'eapply' bug to me:
t/subtest> e <- new.env()
t/subtest> e$tempo <- quote( 1+'hi')
t/subtest> lapply( ls( e), function( x) length( get( x,e)))
[[1]]

# seems reasonable-- e$tempo is a 'call' object of length 3

Dovecot LDAP authentication not working
Hie all,
I am new to both Dovecot and this list. I am trying to set up a Dovecot and
Sendmail mail server with OpenLDAP user database for authentication. The
sendmail setup is working fine, but authentication for Dovemail is not
working. When I try to authenticate using POP3, I get an "authentication
failed" error, and the logs show the following:

Can I call R from SAS? I tried the below command in SAS, but not
working...
OPTIONS XWAIT XSYNC;

Had done this before and it was working perfect... But now, not...

lmer specification for random effects: contradictory reults

I was wondering if someone could help me to solve this issue with lmer.

compared the following options according to the procedures specified in many

Superscript and subscrib R for legend x-axis and y-axis and colour different subjects in longitudinal data with different colours
I am trying to make a x-axis and y-axis titles with both a special character and a subscript. I am not being able to do this. I think its just a placing of my parenthesis, but I've tried (seemingly) everything.
Even more, when I try the blog users code it works.
Is it because I?m using longitudinal data?

graphics: 3D regression plane
Hello Masters,
wishing you all a great 2011 I was also going to ask if anyone knows a quick
and efficient way to plot a regression plane (z~x*y).
I have tried the regr2.plot{HH} function but it is only an educational tool
and has poor graphical properties.
I also tried to run the following script on a fictitious longitudinal
problem, with poor results

Realtime+IAX2 and RSA
Anyone had Realtime working with IAX2 and RSA authentication to connect two
PBXs, please? It seems that inkeys/outkey fields are not read at all and
the following warning is logged when dialing:
Jun 2 02:41:36 WARNING[6299] chan_iax2.c: I don't know how to authenticate
******** to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Using iax.conf it perfectly works. Maybe a bug in Realtime?
TIA,
