[LLVMdev] Codegen error with instrinsic
I am getting the following error when i am trying to generate the
code. In the optimization pass I have inserted some calls

Codegen is complaining about these annotations.

using J-Ogg
Hi,
Is there a source code example for using J-Ogg (with a Vorbis Stream) as an Ogg Decoder. The Java API docs are somewhat limited.
I was able to extract Comment Header and Indentification Header information from a Ogg file. I was also able to process packets of a Vorbis stream. Unfortunately, the audio sound is just white noise. I don't know if some synchronization is necessary. I am also

Ordering categories on a boxplot - a serious trap??
Hello all,
I think I probably did something stupid, and R's part was to allow me to do it. My goal was to control the order of factor levels appearing horizontally on a boxplot. Enter search engines and perhaps some creative stupidity on my part, and I came up with the following:
v=read.table("factor-order.txt",header=TRUE);
levels(v$doseGroup) = c("L", "M",

Sweave and absolute escaped backslashed Windows paths in R 2.12.0
I've noticed a change in behavior in R 2.12.0 from 2.11.1 regarding the
treatment of absolute paths in the file argument of Sweave in a Windows
environment.
Consider the minimal Rnw file, attached and reproduced below my
signature in case .Rnw files get stripped. This file is stored on my
(Windows) computer in H:/My Documents. Using an absolute path with the
standard window's

Writing escaped unicode
I'd like to write unicode strings using the "\u" escape syntax. According to the documentation, print.default or encodeString will escape unicode using the \u convention. In practice, I can't make it work.

home directory error with Win2k PDC users
Hi List,
I just installed Samba 2.2.8a in a RedHat 7.2, I configured it as a domain
member using Winbind and everything worked fine. I can list my users in the
domain and the groups too, I can do a telnet connection using the domain
users and I can map a shared folder from windows but the main problem is
this:
When I look for the computer in the network neighborhood I can see the user

Tracking down rogue workgroup
Hi folks. Periodically a workgroup shows up on our network with an
inappropriate name. We're trying to find the best way to track this
down as it's quite intermittent.
We can obviously look for announcement messages (in broadcast packets
on ports 138/139), but this must be done on each subnet and we have
enough subnets that this would be rather tedious and at best, a last
resort.

[LLVMdev] Disable loop unroll pass
Ok, let‘s stop the open64 "polution".
Whether the design is as you stated doesn‘t simpler, the code before
and after the change already tells us.
We take detailed investigation on gcc support for hwloop, then we come
to the conclusion we are essentially the same. So i think the idea can
be shared among different compilers, general abstract tripcount, make
pseudo operators for

Win2k - samba-2.2.8a - can't get above 4MB/sec
I'm trying to maximize throughput between my Samba server and my Win2k (SP3
and 4) clients. Samba's configured to allow up to 64k packets and the
server is on a GigE network (3com card, acenic driver) with SCSI UW2 drives
(software RAID1 and RAID5 volumes). All clients are 100MB/sec FDX on a
switched LAN.
I can get sustained 35MB/sec transfers (read and write) on the disk

Size of a refClass instance
I'm using refClass for a complex multi-directional tree structure with possibly 100,000s of nodes. The refClass design is very impressive and I'd love to use it, but I've found that the size of refClass instances are very large and creation time is slow. For example, below is a RefClass and normal S4 class. The RefClass requires about 4KB per instance vs 500B for the S4 class --

ip_conntrack_ftp fails to load on CentOS 4.3
I have a CentOS 4.3 box that is giving me some serious problem. During
the "yum update" from 4.2 -> 4.3 I lost my connection (okay, I
accidentally closed the window). I logged back on and did another yum
update, and it appeared as though things completed properly.
Everything is working fine, up until one of my hosting clients noted
that he is now unable to use ftp to update his web

authentication from win2k DC
Hi,
I've followed the instructions in the chapter 8 of the documentation to
connect my AIX 4.3.3 machine with Samba 2.2.8.1 (taken from bull as
binary for AIX).
The server is in the domain now, but the domain users can't log on to
the samba server. The first problem in the log file is:

AW: authentication from win2k DC
I've added it in the way as described in 2.

win32-mmap test suite
I just tried running tc_mmap.rb and noticed that something rather curious
seems to happen. The call to Mmap.new in setup seems to cause the test
suite to just exit without ever actually running the tests.
I reduced the test suite to just this bit of code. This works, although the
final test (TypeError) does not pass - no exception in thrown.
This is 1.8.1 on Win2k.
Any ideas?

Win2K Client / Samba 3.0.4 PDC -> Setting Win2K Profile Settings
I'm trying to locate the list of registry values to adjust how Win2K clients handle the user profile with the Win2K boxes joined to a Samba PDC and logging in with domain accounts. Specifically I
would like to DISABLE roaming profiles!!!
Many moons ago, the WarpServer Win2K client from IBM came with very good documentation on how to adjust that client to not create roaming profiles, etc...
