Winbind set to only serve certain addresses?
After a bad week of internet worms, I want to setup my clients so they can't see eachother at all. Clients talk to servers. Full stop. Now part of this is easy. If I use the correct option in my dhcpd.conf file I tell the clients to use WINS mode 2 (use a server) give them a server address, and it puts a stop to all that broadcasting. What I would like to do next is to keep clients

Routing and keying Questions
Hello! I use tincd to interconnect 3 LANs: A, B and C. So long, it works fine: everybody reaches everybody. But I want a different behavior: A and B should be allowed to talk, as should B and C. I tried to simply delete the host-files on the nodes that should not be allowed to talk to eachother: A has a hostfile from B B has a hostfile from A and C C has a hostfile from B But this is no

Question regarding replication - duplicate emails
Hi, Anyone has suggestions? The situation also happends when I ?delete? a message from my Phone. It seems to get replicated instantly and the just deleted email is back in the mailbox again. I did remove HA Proxy support in the meantime to rule that out and I have enabled the default replication_max_conns. thanks Remko > On 13 Oct 2017, at 11:56, Remko Lodder <remko at FreeBSD.org>

Directory hashing
Hi, I struggle with directory hashing. I want something like this: /srv/mail/c/cf37a8dff5e360927ba10ab2 The final folder is simpel, as it is: %{sha256;truncate=96:user} But how do I get a first level from sha256? Unfortunately, the truncate option aligns only full 8bit and does not divide into low and high nibbles. How can I express this for sha256? in MD5 this would be %1Mu Many thanks in

Statistical analysis of a large database
Deall all, We need to perform a statistical analysis of a large database (40,000 entries with approximately 500 fields in each entry) currently handled in Oracle. The data contains categorical variables only. At the current stage we suggest classification and clustering analysis. We are planning to perform the analysis in R and would be very grateful for any

security = ads --> invalide user
Hello I try to run SAMBA with security = ads on AIX 5.3 with SAMBA 3.0.23d. "net ads join" was successful and the machine is now visible in the Domain with the netbios name. When I try to access the shares on the machine the log.smbd files says: (...) Samba 3.2 experiences
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I've been trying to get Samba 3.2 to work in the past few days, and I'm running into a few problems which I have been unable to solve myself. My first problem isn't blocking for me, but it seems not consistent with documentation. I can't join my server using a domain admin's kerberos ticket. I need to specify "-U

Clients send tons of Notiftication requests
I have been trying to help Luca on the QNAP forum since I have the same NAS. It reports smbd version 4.7.12. I have not had any issues, but I am in a Mac/Linux environment only. In Luca?s case, he is using NFS (not sure what version) on his Mac and I initially thought that maybe it was initiating change notifications somehow. Possible?

OT: Zap channels intermittently bridging with SNOM190
Hi guys/girls, We are running a TDM04B card with Asterisk in a Linux box that has 15 GrandStream102 extensions and 1 SNOM190 phone which we are using as an operator console. The FXO ports in the TDM04B are plugged directly into our telecoms provider's analogue lines. Something I've picked up with the SNOM is that sometimes when there are two active incoming calls via Zap channels they end
