[LLVMdev] MCJIT
Hi Braxton, I think it's very good. All of the ExecutionEngine tests pass. I'm not aware of any major defects. I don't believe that the current implementation sets the permissions on JITed memory as you might wish. Namely, I think executable memory may be left writeable and data memory may be executable. The current interface is also somewhat limited. Basically, you pass a

Can you also tell about inline-asm support in MCJIT for x86? I've been trying to get it to work (my previous post: "JIT support for inline asm on Linux"), I get an error: > LLVM ERROR: Inline asm not supported by this streamer because we don't > have an asm parser for this target thanks, ashok On 5/11/2012 12:44 PM, Kaylor, Andrew wrote: > Hi Braxton, > > I

Inline asm should work in the MCJIT just as well as it does in statically compiled code. It's the same code path for both. The error you're seeing indicates that something isn't configured in a way the compiler understands. -Jim On May 12, 2012, at 10:48 AM, Ashok Nalkund wrote: > Can you also tell about inline-asm support in MCJIT for x86? I was able to get past the error by calling InitializeNativeTargetAsmParser() in my code. Now I have a failure in resolving external libraries, so looking into that (recompiled with --enable-ffi but I now get an error LLVMgold.so not found). Then I hda to disable the following code in lib/Target/X86/X86CodeEmitter.cpp: > case TargetOpcode::INLINEASM: > // We allow inline

User Profiles
Hello all. I'm in the process of getting roaming profiles up and running on a RH 7.3 installation, running as a PDC on an 'NT Domain'. I've been reading the PROFILES.txt, and need to clear some things up. Do the rules that apply for WinNT, apply to Win2000, specifically the NTConfig.Pol file. If it does, I can't find it on either the samba server or the Win2000 machine,

[Samba} Can't do roaming profiles (Solved)
Through much help from a guy in my local LUG I found the solution to making roaming profiles work on Win2000 (SP4). 1) You should have SP4 installed. 2) Two registry changes are needed: Use regedit and change the following two dword attributes to 0 "requiresignorseal" "signsecurechannel" 3) Run the group policy editor "gpedit.msc" and enable the

Can't do roaming profiles
I need a little advice on finishing off a Samba PDC. I have Samba 3.0.0RC1 installed and working as a PDC on a Redhat AS 3.0 machine. It authenticates users nicely but the "roaming" profiles don't work. Tailing the samba log, I see the an attempt to access the users ntuser.dat file, which doesn't exist before the first logon, when logging in. The profile directory

Winbind seems to have hosed my roaming profiles
Winbind seems to have broke my roaming profiles. I have a 3.0.1Pre1 DC on RH AS 3.0 running with Win2000 SP4 clients logging in. Remote profiles worked well and then I added: winbind separator = + idmap uid = 10000-20000 winbind gid = 10000-20000 winbind enum users = yes winbind enum groups = yes template homedir = /home/win2000/%D/%U template shell = /bin/bash Added it to nsswitch.conf and

DOS dir command on Samba share
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem I am having with the DOS DIR command on a SMB share. I have a batch script that copies files from one mapped network drive to another. To check that the copy has been sucsessful it creates two text files with the output of the command "dir /s <directory> | find "File"" on both directories. We have

sharing profiles
Hello all, I ve noticed a lot of talk about profile sharing. Could someone tell me or point me in the right direction how I could share a profile among three users all win2000 workstations. I created a profile on machine A and want B and C to also use it without having to copy it over by hand. The profile does not have to be a .MAN, just a standard profile. I am pretty sure that everyone

How to test roaming profiles
Hi, I'm working on a server that was upgraded a few weeks ago (Linux Mandriva was reinstalled with a more up-to-date Samba version which is 3.3.2). Now, roaming profiles no longer work. I even wonder what would be the proper to way to test them. Workstations are running Windows XP. I followed the procedure for Win2000/XP located here:

Samba and LDAP, problem with variables %u and %g
Hi samba list, I'm using samba 3(.0.13) with OpenLDAP and I have a strange problem: the variables %U and %G don't seem to be replaced by their values. I get nothing in my logs, so I don't know where is the problem... In fact, in my smb.conf, I have something like: logon home = logon path = \\server\profiles\prof.%G logon drive = h: The profiles are loaded if I use logon

mandatory profiles
Hello! I am running samba 3.0 on fc2 in a win2000 network. I want to use only mandatory profiles in the network, but can't get this to work properly. I have set up a "perfect user" on my local machine", and copied this profile to \\server\netlogon\Default User. I have also made this default profile mandatory by renaming ntuser.dat to ntuser.man. In smb.conf I have added:

Profiles after a Samba machine rebuild
I lost my Samba machine to a bad disk a few weeks ago, and I had to start from scratch. It was a small home machine and I didn't have backups. However, I make use of profiles and the Win2000 machine is now all screwed up -- it attempts to make new profiles for some users, with some success. If I try to set the permissions on the local Win2k machine to allow control by the user it belongs to on
