[Flac-users] Re: my flac -t issue: next approach
Kerry's post looks very promising: | It can but is probably not as nice as you would like. It's a huge improvement over what I can do now. Thank you! | flac -t *.flac Now, that doesn't work for me. I know that command.com doesn't glob wildcards but rather expects the application to do it, and apparently flac.exe doesn't. Under a real shell that wouldn't be a problem,

Samba4 as domain member and file server
Hi guys, I'm having trouble setting up my file server running Samba 4 (4.0.3). I had no problem joining the domain (also a Samba 4 (4.0.3) with AD) but I can't get the ACL to work properly. I'm sure my settings are wrong and hoping for some help. When I try to set a user permission I get this error: setfacl -m u:administrator:rwx test3.txt setfacl: test3.txt: Malformed access ACL

Choose.files to give shortnames
Hi I am writing a script to generate a QC report for some data based on a number of files. I am currently using the choose.files function to select the files as not all the files need to be QC'd. One minor issue is that choose.files returns the complete path of the filename (eg "C:/QCdata/Test1/File01", "C:/QCdata/Test1/File02"...). Is it possible to use choose.files to

BDC needs a [profile] and [netlogon] share ?
Hi all, I have a BDC which uses the LDAP backend of my PDC. Unfortunately all the users who log-in in the morning and who are processed by this BDC, do not get their logon script executed. The BDC logs this error message: [2013/05/24 07:28:11.946577, 2] auth/auth.c:304(check_ntlm_password) check_ntlm_password: authentication for user [foobar] -> [foobar] -> [foobar] succeeded

Save output
Dear R-Mastermind Within a while or a for-loop, is there a way that I can save to disk the results of the previous calculations at the end of each loop with filenames called "file01.Rdata", "file02.Rdata" etc? So far, I have tried to write the outcome of each loop in a 3 dimensional array and saved it just once after the loop. Or is there another way so that I can keep

Problem connecting linux box to linux box in ad
Hi I have a customer running 2 RedHat 7.3 servers. These are running to gether with w2k and w2k3 machines in an Active Directory. I ran samba 2.0.7 and upgraded to 3.0.8 because of that the customer had to use restrict anonymous = 2 in windows, that stops the IPC$ share to be seen by anonymous connections. I configured Kerberos and could connect windows boxes to one of the linux boxes, the

something wrong with the list (or its members)
I've noticed the list has pretty low answer:question ratio. I tend to think that many replies go directly to people who post the questions and those people never bother to share the answers with the community. I don't think this is fair so we may want to do something in this regard. We either need certain rules that will imply posting of summaries (as {SUN,LINUX}managers lists do), or the

Solaris/Samba/printing question
Hi all, This is sort of mundane but users want to know how to get their userid's on the banner sheet when they print to a Unix box running samba. The printer prints out my userid (of course, I have a userid on the Unix box) but everyone else has guest. smb.conf has "guest" as the userid to print but how does my name get on the banner? Is this even possible without users having

[Flac-users] Re: my flac -t issue: next approach
| yes, the exit code will be 1 if any of the flac files failed | testing, else 0 (i.e. if all of them passed). Thank you, Josh! Now the only trick is to see whether command.com can do anything with that information.

Running Internet Explorer 6 (IE6), but nothing happens
Hi, I am currently running Ubuntu 8.04 with wine 1.0 (upgraded thru update manager). I previously installed wine & winetools using instructions from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=149585. However, when I try to run IE6, this is what the terminal outputs: kenninaz at kenninaz-desktop:~$ wine /home/kenninaz/.wine/c/Program\ Files/Internet\ Explorer/IEXPLORE.EXE

is there really a restart task in switchtower? How do you invoke it?
I just created a new rails project "test". I then did "switchtower --apply-to ~/user/test test" I then moved into test and tried "rake restart" and got: kfelkins@lurch:~/user/test$ rake restart (in /home/kfelkins/user/test) rake aborted! Don''t know how to build task ''restart'' I see restart in deploy. Can restart be invoked from the
