2.2.5/PDC Problem - Part 2
Problem 1 solved: Root logged in without a hitch
Problem 2 now exists
Now matter what I try, I cannot get a normal user account to log in. I've
added the accounts in smbpasswd and passwd and still cannot log into the
domain.
Is there a special group that I need to create in /etc and a similar mapping
in my username map? Could the files be locked to root and not be open to
other logins?

folders not visible on copied mail folders
Shortly after this post, I found a solution here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=1097725
In order to see the .Dennis\ Email.Dennis\ Inbox sub-folder you have to collapse and re-expand
the folder list in Thunderbird. It's that simple ... AND that annoyingly obscure!
Thanks for your help! --Mark

I try to create a patch to allow (proxy-)dict to use tcp connections
instead of a unix domain socket.
I'm replacing connection_init_client_unix with connection_init_client_ip:

Samba & Symantec Ghost
Hello,
I saw this posting by Christopher Robert Woods. I am having the identical
problem with Samba on Suse Linux 7.2 (OS/390). Is there any known
workaround?

Groups and rpms
yum grouplist is almost ok for learning what groups are
available.Though it does not distinguish between base/manditory and
added in the installed list.
But yum list is not really helpful.
I would like to see something of what rpms are within what
group. then what rpms are not in any group. And which groups and
stand-a-lone rpms are base.
maybe it can be teased out of comp.xml...

NMBD going down almost immediately after startup
Hi,
I'm having problems getting nmbd running.
Server is RH7.3 + ACL patches.
The problem is that the nmbd deamon crashes with the following error :

Netbios nameserver version 2.2.5 started.

ActiveResources 0.1.0 Released
See the blog post at http://blog.lonestarsoftware.net/2007/03/09/active_resources-010-released/
Reading through the rails blogosphere last week, I read a post (which
I can not find again) that suggested a completely different approach
to AJAX use in rails apps. The idea was to create a Javascript proxy
to the ActiveRecord models and allow AR operations to be called from
the client.
I see this

Quick Question
Apologies if there is a cleanly written and searchable FAQ that I could be
directed to. I have no problem to RTFM if I can find the FM...
Does Asterisk currently operate under RH9? I have IBM Netfinity 4000R
servers that do not support X windows under RH8.x and I prefer not to go
back to RH7.3...
BTW, where would I find a useful FM?

Stumped at "Network Neighbourhood", Samba server is visible, but it's path can't be found ...
Hi all,
I can see the RH7.3 linux box I've configured with the latest
Redhat RPM samba package in the Windows 2000 network
neighbourhood, but when I double click the W2000 computer
icon I get the message
"\\Linuxbox is not accessible,
The network path was not found."
The network is a small switched lan, sadly with only one unix
box (RH7.3) and a mixture of Windows2000 and 98

RedHat 7.3 or Centos 2.1
Hi,
I have a server that have an aplication that runs on RH7.3
and in Centos 2.1
Currently, it runs RH7.3 with yum updates from fedora-legacy
My question is, should I update to Centos 2.1 or stay in RH7.3?
What are my advantages of migrating to Centos 2.1?
My concern are more about security updates in the next 2 years.
Many thanks

Essentially it expands to something like:
!(Ty == STy) ? (void)0 : Voidifier() & llvm::dbgs() << ...
where you have something vaguely along the lines of
struct Voidifier {

Connection Refuse
Dear List,
I hope someone could give me some explanation about above
error/problem I got.
I have 2 machines, one installed RH7.3 (IP ADDR. =10.1.45.12, host name =
fk0000-msi-srv) and the other one, Mandrake8.2. (IP ADDR. = 10.1.45.13)
Both machines use Samba 2.2.3a.
At the RH7.3, I got following error if I connect from Mandrake8.2.
$ smbclient -U% -L 10.1.45.12
added interface ip=10.1.45.13
