Tested floppy boot on two machines (one PII 350, one 486DX4) Floppy boot with syslinux is very very slow, more than 18 mn to boot a linux kernel from floppy on the 2 machines. What is your samba version? You need at least 3.28 There is a bug concerning execl files acls. Look at your linux/unix box when you save your exel files in the share it will loose their ownership and permissions. This module does basically what I have done in the very beginning. Create an empty directory as a preparation step for the configuration files. But this configuration also did not regenerate the files. Seems, I will stick with my workaround and delete the files manually and the restart the Puppet agent.
