rpcclient enumdrivers enumprinters
Hi all, i'm new to the list and here's my first question : I'm trying to install several printer drivers on my samba server with imprints. I did a package with the NT/2000 and W9x drivers and the mkprintpkg command. Then I used the command install_printer_drivers.pl to install the files in the appropriate directories. So now i'd like to check the drivers available and the

I uploaded them fine with a W2K workstation as root, but when i try to get them from a W9X client it fails except if i log as root. And this is the message displayed in the samba logs of the computer on which i did it : [2002/08/27 15:02:34, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(587) user-name (195.221.112.112)

Time series analysis for a daily series
Hi everyone I am trying to do some time series analysis with daily temperature data (40 years). I have created a zoo object and ts object but can't apply stl function. It says the series is not periodic or has less than two periods. I've searched through google and found a lot of messages about this problem but not a solution/example to look for trend and seasonal component of a

No longer able to browse windows share via Nautilus
I used to be able to browse the windows shares on the network through Nautilus. I can see them as computers, but when I click on them, it fails. (I'm on Ubuntu 6 LTS, AMD64) About 3 months ago, this failed. But, the windows boxes can all still access my shares on my Linux box. I was going through the trouble shooting, and found this out, but I'm not sure what to do next. I am

weird characters in files created by gnome login on samba share
Hello, I just tried a gnome login with an empty home directory on a samba mounted directory, and this resulted in several files with strange characters in the filenames in the end. (as created by the initial gnome login) I cannot reproduce this by hand, and it certainly does not happen when I do the login on a local directory, or when I copy that local directory to the samba directory. I use

R and DBSCAN
Hello everyone, When looking for information about clustering of spatial data in R I was directed towards DBSCAN. I've read some docs about it and theb new questions have arisen. DBSCAN requires some parameters, one of them is "distance". As my data are three dimensional, longitude, latitude and temperature, which "distance" should I use? which dimension is related to

Question about levels/as.numeric
Hi, I am still new to R and this is my first post on this mailing-list. I have two .csv (each one being a column of real numbers) coming from the same database (the first one is just longer than the second) and I read them in R the following way: returns <- read.csv("test.csv", header = FALSE) returns2 <- read.csv("test2.csv", header = FALSE) However, the two

Announce: ogg2enc: Perl script to run oggenc twice
I recently started using Ogg Vorbis and decided I wanted high-quality files on my desktop, and small files on my Zaurus; but I didn't want to keep switching grip's configuration back and forth. So I wrote ogg2enc, a Perl script which takes the same command-line arguments as oggenc, and runs oggenc twice. The first run gets its command line munged to produce a file at 64kpbs; the second

[LLVMdev] GSoC on LLVM usability?
Bump! I realize my previous message may have been a bit abrupt, without much proper explanations, though it is a serious application! Currently, the feedback of LLVM regarding the optimizations performed is an optional list of optimization names, through the detailed pass statistics. Though of high relevance to a user familiar with optimizing compilers, for unfamiliar users it might be

Can tdbtool be installed on it's own?
Hi guys, I have a Netgear ReadyNas that has Samba v3.4.5 installed on it. I'm having trouble accessing some tdb files and I'm wondering whether the app tdbtool can be installed on its own as it seems that Netgear have pulled it out. I have windows domain users who get denied access for no reason and the events aren't being caught my the standard logs. Plus Netgear force the smb.conf
