trouble using syslinux > 1.50
Hi there,
I'm using an embedded device sold by a german company called SSV.
Further Information about the device can be found on the following URL.
http://www.ssv-embedded.de/ssv/pc104/p170.htm
The IDE Interface is a very basic one.
Starting with syslinux 1.51 the system stopped booting correctly (1.67 does
not work as well).
With syslinux Version up to 1.50 erything works fine.
The boot

This depends on which properties...

Is ifcpu.c32 or ifcpu64.c32 sufficient for your task? In LessLinux I use

I once ran into a quite similar problem, but solved it with a simple
kernel that ran on every machine and some initramfs magic with a

pxelinux fron Floppy disk?
Hi there,
we are using a couple of Diskless Linux Workstations in conjunction with PXE
capabable Network cards to boot the system. This works fine using pxelinux.
However, there are a few workstations left, which are not able to boot via
PXE and thus this workstations need a Kernel on a floppy disk and an
additional initrd image.
The Problem with is, that both of them don't fit on a floppy

pubkey fingerprint and krb princ name in environment
Hey,
I use gitolite for git hosting on my server, and because I want to use
kerberos authentication I patched OpenSSH to put the name of the
kerberos principal name or the ssh fingerprint as environment variables
so my ForceCommand script can use them to actually authorize the user by
the principal/fingerprint.
It?s a bit annoying to keep my own patch and I thought it might be

pxelinux: HW Address instead of ip
Hi there,
for our setup it would be nice to have pxelinux trying to load files like
/tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/00:80:C8:6D:EE:7F instead of something like
/tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/0A010708
The reason is, that with this setup I would be able to boot a machine in
different networks be means of dhcp and dynamic DNS updates.
I saw, in pxelinux.doc, that this is no Problem using ISC dhcp and doing

hosts deny = X not working for printer share
Note: This was cross posted at comp.protocols.smb
Linux: 2.6.5-1-686-smp (debian stable)
Samba: Version 3.0.2a-Debian
Cups: Version: 1.1.20final-12.backports.org.1
Network: one ip-address, one-interface
We manage multiple printers from cups, which are then exported to a
printcap file, then loaded into samba. All the printers work great
from samba, Point-n-Print is operational :D However,

Are you using wins?
Try lmhosts for the start?
Are all machines on the same subnet?
Just a few hints to start with ...
