Lotus Notes 5.0.9a
Believe it or not, wine runs the Install Shield program perfectly when
installing Lotus Notes. However, when creating mail, after I type one
letter (doesn't matter what it is) every letter after it dissappears
until you hit backspace, delete, or click the mouse in the window. This
is annoying as some of us *like* to see what we're typing in an email
:-)

Printers not working with Point'N'Print
I have been wrestling with this for quite some time. I have Samba
3.0.9-1.3E.3 installed on a RH ES 3 server running the 2.4.21-32.ELsmp
kernel. I have a Xerox Workcentre 32C, Workcentre 65, HP Laser Jet 5si,

machine. In other words, I can print to any of the printers from the RH
server. However, when using Samba to share

@text = "Hello World"
end
def create
@user = User.new(params[:user])
if @user.save

Dovecot username mapping
Ok, here's my situation. I currently run IMail 7.x with about 80 domains
and nearly 4000 users.
I want to switch this to a Linux server.
I'm using Virtualmin to manage the users/postfix.
I have dovecot working just peachy with the setup, except for one
problem. We are an ISP. The easiest thing for us (and our users) is to
have them use their full email address as their username.

string_to_sid: SID <username> is not in a valid format
I'm not quite sure why this is happening, I used to be able to connect
perfectly fine to my share. Then I updated and rebooted and now I'm greeted
with this message, and a login prompt where my credentials are never
accepted.

sid->username conversion on beta2 as a domain member in a samba domain?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
We run a samba-2.2.x+LDAP domain, and I have been experimenting with
samba3 as a member server on one of our production servers (when it has
no open connections). I also have samba-2.2.x on it, which works fine.
However, beta2 seems to not resolve sids to usernames, so the security
tab in the file properties dialog from a windows box shows the sid,

Getting a Windows username from an SID with Samba/Winbind
I am running Linux in a corporate windows environment.
I need to convert user's Active Directory security identifiers (SIDs) to
usernames, for example S-1-5-21-484763869-1275210071-682003330-34567 to
mydomain\jbloggs.
There are a few Windows tools that do this like SIDDecode and SidToName,
but they don't work under wine.
I've been reading about Winbind and Samba and it seems it

What OS are you using? If Linux then make sure share file system is
xattrs capable and enable it in /etc/fstab (I believe). If not you
can use:
posix:eadb = /usr/local/samba/private/eadb.tdb
in global. This does NOT scale well.
