Hello After updating to the 2.6.9-42 kernel, one of my boxes stall during boot with hdc lost interrupt ide-cd:cmd 0x3 timed out The older 2.6.9-35 kernel boots fine. This is a Compaq Proliant PL360. I am trying to install CentOS 3.4 on a Compaq Proliant 1600, and it hangs on probing monitor type when anaconda starts. In my case one device, a Audiotron, can stream wav files fine from a windows share on a windows box, but not from a Samba share. Windows boxes can stream fine from the same Samba share. What i see with google and that error code is. Windows activation problems due to bad disk/bad sectors. File copy problems due to wrong rights. Virus/mailware activity.
