similar to: printer status w2K / cups

I have got the printing working with CUPS finally on all of my printer. Took a while but they are printing with no errors. What they are not doing is feeding back the print status, and not all of them are consistent. I have a HP2000C that gives me a failed to open retrying error in the W2k printers window. I have a minolta d350 that always comes back blank, even though there are maybe 50 jobs

I still have not figured out how to get the printer status (list of jobs etc..) to show up in the w2k printer windows. most printing is working well with this exception, I print from an email from outlook and the bold H gets left out. Chris, I did this very thing although I can't tell you how because it just worked right without my having to do anything. I am not having the server automatically download the drivers so maybe that has something to do with it. I keep my drivers on s share and then have to go pick them when I install a printer. All of my print queues from cups update my windows boxes about every 3 seconds.

I am able to get it to work properly by giving complete world access to the file and folders, which means basically it has to be on a share by itself, or one that has complete rwxrwxrwx. I would of course prefer to have only group access but that doesn't work for this act database. I also turned off op locks. Don't know if that will cause any problems. but it made the

I found out a few things. The problem is when act closes the locks are not being cleared. I can make it work by creating an additional share just for the database that has no locking at all, but I think I am risking data corruption. I don't need access to the database simultaneously so if anyone knows how to force the locks to be cleared when I exit act so the next person can get it that
