Can someone please tell me if it is possible to add a group on a linux PDC running Samba 2.2.4 to a windows 2000 clients local "Power Users Group" or any of the local windows 2k groups. I want certain people to be in the Power Users Group on 2K, but I don't want to have to add each domain user individually to that local win2k group, I want to add a domain group to the win2k group.

This has puzzled me for at least a week. please help. It seems that if a model class has any other custom attributes besides DB column attributes, and model class is not in /app/models/ folder, rails does not load custom attributes after 1st time, only DB column attributes. only way to see my custom attributes works is if model class has no module and is under /app/models/, not anywhere else.

Hi Group, I set up samba3.0 to work as ADS-Member-Server. I created a share called /test and chown group to gg_test to it. Access to share works without any problems. I also can add files and directories to this share. When I now make ln -l, the files I added got the group-permissions "Domain Users" and not gg_test, as I expected. Do someone know a solution? Hai, As I know i could open my shares via domain eg: \\domainc.com\share I have 2 samba 4.1.5 server and one win2003 DC. Succesfully made a clustered filesystem so now both servers (except win2003) can open the shares. My problem is: i succesfully opened the share yesterday, it worked well one time but since that i couldnt open it via \\domain.com\share only via \\dc01\share or \\dc02\share.
