logistic regression with repeated measures for species-habitat associations
Hi,
I have three years of species presence/absence data for a set of ~100
ponds, with a list of associated habitat characteristics (park, vegetation,
hydroperiod, etc.). The datasets differ slightly by year because some ponds
were dry in some years and not in others. My goal is to look at habitat
associations for a couple focal species.
For each year, I have a data table that looks like

Samba 2.2.5 update process
I recently downloaded the samba 2.2.5 update.
I ran GZIP and tar.
next i did the configuration according to Using Samba by Robert
Eckstein, David Collier-Brown, Peter Kelly 1st edition Nov. 1999.
Steps were as follows:
./configure
make
make install
added swat to /etc/services
swat 901/tcp
after all of this it does not appear that samba was actually updated.
I looked in samba.org for

Install X100P and TDM400P Asterisk cards!
Hi!
I currently have the X100P and TDM400P Asterisk cards. For obtaining
Asterisk PBX: I have no direct connection to internet, so I use ftp and
download the neweast packages: zaptel-0.7.0, libpri-0.4.0,
asterisk-0.5.0.
The environment I compiled the tool:
PC (HP): Intel PIII 500 MHz
OS: Red Hat Linux 8.0 (Upgrade from Red Hat Linux 7.1).
When I compile the first package (zaptel-0.7.0), I

Help with lme for split plot
Hello,
I am having trouble doing a split plot analysis of variance with lme. The
study design is ponds split in two, one side of each pond was a control and
the other was one of three chemical treatments. Each pond side was sampled
three times, response variable is the mean of twenty animals. So we have
sample time within side within pond. Pond is random effects. There are

R CMD build errors if files cannot be moved, even if they are in Rbuildignore
When a package is built it is first moved to a temporary directory (lines
962-980 in build.R). However, this moves *all* files to the temporary
directory, even those in Rbuildignore; only later (lines 997-1024) are
Rbuildignore files excluded.
The problem with this approach is that some files in the package directory
may not be movable. On Windows at least, the full path name to a file must

semi-OT: t-bird mime type on .pdf attachment is wrong
I was sending my manager a copy of a form, and attached it (not inline),
using -t-bird, and he complains it didn't want to open. Looking at the
message source, t-bird had decided that the mime type was all/allfiles,
though the name ended in .pdf. I've searched via the config editor, and
I've been googling, and not finding anything. (I just *adore* the current

What is Newt?
Newt is a separate library from asterisk that is used to easily create a ncurses based program.
If you want to see some examples of how to use newt, look under the 'zaptel' source for zttool.c and/or under the asterisk/astman source for astman.c
Newt pretty easy to code off of and can make a quick & easy frontend for things.
Check out the /usr/share/doc/<newt directory> for more

Antwort: FW: R loops
it did help to create the separate vectors. The problem is, I would like
to continue working with each vector on its own and make some further
analysis.
For that i need to allocate each vector in the filePatterns a unique name,
which I just can't do.
I'm not so great in R loops and the help over the net regards for loops in
R is quite rare.
I'm really thankful for every help.
