failure running an at job from a root preexec
Hi folks,
I'm having a problem queuing an 'at' job from a root preexec.
I have a shell script which queries LDAP for per-user quota information and sets the local filesystem quotas accordingly. This runs, and runs fine, out of the root preexec on our users home share.
But we bin running a server with broken quotas for a while, and had to turn quotas off.
We're ready to try

ActiveRecord query using association
Hello all,
I apologize if the answer to this question is going to be rudimentary,
but I am thus far stymied by the information I have found on the web.
This seems like it should be simple, but I haven''t really found an
example of how to do this yet.
I have a model called Account which has a belongs_to reference to
another model, User, as below:

Slow writes from MS-DOS LanMan Client to Samba server
Hello together,
well since I'm close to the despair with my problem I wanna
describe it here and maybe anyone has a good idea.
As the subject already told you I'm trying to connect from a
MS-DOS Client to my Samba Server. I'm running a smbd 2.0.5a on a
AMD K6-III machine which has two IBM 16.8 GB IDE drives and is
connected to over a 3com 3c905b with 100Mb to a fullduplex hub.
So far I

[PATCH] Fix error in Converter::Windows when there is no transfer iso
The code for mounting the transfer iso in Converter::Windows didn't do the same
level of error checking as the same code in GuestOS::RedHat. This change moves
the GuestOS code into Config, and updates both GuestOS::RedHat and
Converter::Windows to use Config.

Samba printer management commands
Hi
I am trying to setup remote printer management commands, so the users
could add and delete printers from "Printers" share of Samba in
Windows. I have this script, that is launched using an administrator
account, when I add a printer from there, using a new TCP/IP port:

UPS not Shutting Down
I'm not sure I understand your question. The UPS was running for more than
15 minutes before it went below the battery.charge.low: of 70.
Below is my /etc/nut/nut.conf.
My goal is that when the UPS report a battery.charge.low of < 70 (or, if
possible has been running for 5 minutes) it starts the shutdown process.
The shutdown process should take 15 minutes so that proxmox can shutdown

This is my lightly tested patch which allows pre-conversion
of Windows guests.
You also need to supply rhsrvany.exe and firstboot scripts.

Unable to upload printer drivers
Ok, quick rely, i got a memory freshup..
The samsung driver in the xml, is not package aware.
See: KB3170455 (w7) KB3163912 (w10) which is the cause of this problem.
Now removing these KB's is not option.
So we are back to :
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/print/constructing-a-package-aware-driver-with-updated-core-drivers
Read it, but this is what we are

Take 2 at bouncing this to the rest of the original recipients through a
different MTA, since mail.zytor.com refused to accept it the first time.
Please re-add Jason Gunthorpe <jgg at obsidianresearch.com> and

SMB printing client driver data serving w/ Samba
Is there anyway to get Samba to pass back printer driver data
to a client the way NT print servers do. This makes life so much
easier. From the Samba source, it looks like the 'driverdata'
field for a printer is just set to the string "NULL". The
CIFS specs that I found don't discuss what should be returned in
that field. NOTE: I am already using the DRIVERNAME configuration

Windows 8 Point-and-Print
Hello everyone,
I'm aware that the new level-4 printer drivers are not supported by
Samba. But level-3 drivers, that are used by Windows 7 and earlier,
should also work with Windows 8.
Unfortunately, if you try to use a level-3 driver from a Windows 8
client using the point-and-print mechanism, you will always get the
message, that there's no driver available.
I couldn't find a

i'm confused
Hi all,
New to NUT dev, i was hoping someone can clear up an issue i have with
the unix socket naming for me (FYI my C is not that great). I'm using
2.0.5 and this stems from a problem with the general admin of Nut but
looking at the code led me to think maybe it's a bigger issue (thus i
joined this list).
Right to start with if i have the following in ups.conf:

printernames vs. sharenames
Hello,
when I assign a printer driver to a printer from a windows client, the
printername now changes to the drivername.
Yes, I can see the SPOOLSS_SETPRINTER call with the printername property,
but that's definitly not what I want (or would expect).
E.g. when I change the drivers of 3 printers to HP Laserjet, I get 3 printers
with the names "HP Laserjet [(Copy 1|2)]". These

Thanks,
