Horrible mouse bug fixed?
Wow! Is that horrendous mouse warp bug finally fixed? Since updating the Wine version from the repo for my distro recently all the games I have that are affected by this huge honkin' hairy humongous mouse bug seem to be working better. If it is really officially fixed and not just some weird anomaly in my machine, I'd like to know just exactly what was causing it and how they fixed it.

Horrible BUZZZZ noise when sounds/music play on SIP phone?
Hi, I've recently set Asterisk up, 1.0.2 version. With 1 x X100P card and 1 SIP phone. I've noticed some horrible buzz/rasping type of sounds! These seem to occur when * is trying to play back some audio or sound to me? E.g. If I have an exten rule which plays one of the music on hold files when I dial 800 lets say, I get a really loud buzz for about 2 seconds and then the music plays.

SPA841 Utterly Horrible, are there any good stun hardphones?
Hello All, I have been using the following phones with excellent success inside my lan: Cisco 7960 Polycom IP600 I have also been comfortable with the SPA-3000. I recently got a SPA-841 and the quality is aweful. Even in stock setup, it's like when I speak into the handset I sound like I am very far away. I want to get a hardphone for europe, but I need to be able to use a STUN server, and

liveice sending horrible static noise?
Hi, I'm trying to get liveice to work on a YellowDog (powerpc) computer, and all I can get it to stream is an awful static noise. Listening carefully, I can barely hear the song in with the noise... Looking through the list archives, I see someone has posted a similar problem, and fixed it by undefining NUMBER_LITTLE_ENDIAN in liveice.h So I did, liveice.h:/* #define

liveice sending horrible static noise?
Please excuse my ignorance, what is a mixice program? I am using LAME. So in lifeice.cfg: USE_LAME3 lame I did try forcing byte-swapping in LAME by setting ENCODER_ARGS in the liveice.cfg file, though I may have done it wrong liveice.cfg: USE_LAME3 lame ENCODER_ARGS -x -Jesse > >How are you encoding the stream? liveice sending horrible static noise?
Ah... mixice has nothing to do with liveice, does it? The reason you have to put -x in the LAME arguments in mixice is because LAME is set up to be big-endian by default. The x86 architecture is little-endian, though. I'm using liveice to encode the stream... and being on a big-endian powerpc machine, I've tried all I can to disable that byte-swapping option in LAME, which

Horrible smbmount problem
Hello, I have a problem with smbmount between two Linux (both: RH 6.0, kernel 2.2.9, samba 2.0.4c) boxes. When I use smbmount, the share loads and I can read files just fine, but when I copy ("cp file") to the share, the first 512 bytes of the file are copied and then the copy just freezes there. Trying several times to kill -9 the process didn't work. I had to reboot the server.

Thanks Rowland, just got back from holidays to see this. It's great to have a solution but I don't think these "secret incantations" should really be required. Do you agree with this sentiment? my fonts look horrible (centos5.3/xfce)
Hi all, I can't seem to get my fonts to look decent under CentOS. I was able to make them look pretty good under Ubuntu, but for the life of me I can't make them look decent on CentOS.
