Strange Samba Behavior....
We have a user at one of our remote sites that is not getting an H: drive. This is a problem that we've normally been able to resolve. In this instance, when looking at the logs - there are no errors or even no mention of the user attempting to connect to her home directory. Samba does record, however, her connection to her apps drive and other miscellaneous drives. Samba is at

I have no idea to be honest. I have never used the package, I simply did a search for it. Strange behavior when using progress bar (Fwd: Re: [R] The code itself disappears after starting to execute the for loop)
I would like to ask once more if this is reproducible also for others? If yes, should I submit it as a bug-report? PRI/T-1
Ok so I'm thinking about migrating to a Flex T-1 with 1.024Mb Data and 6 Hard Incoming/Outgoing Phone Lines. I can either break them out via channel bank and use a FXO to convert them but I'm told it will add a dely of at least one ring. And you have another analog/digital conversion to the mix. The 2nd option is to bring them in over PRI's Question is the solution provider will

Strange behavior when using progress bar (Fwd: Re: [R] The code itself disappears after starting to execute the for loop)
I first answered to the email below in r-help, but as I did not see any response, and it looks like a bug/unwanted behavior, I am also posting here. I have observed this in RGui, whereas it seems not to happen in RStudio. Similar to OP, I sometimes have a problem with functions using the progress bar. Frequently, the console is cleared after x iterations when the progress bar is called in a

security = server problem
I am using Samba 2.0.9 on S1 SuSE box and Samba 2.2.5 on S2 Suse box. S1 is acting as PDC for 98, NT clients. (logon script, shares from S1, and S2). Users's passwords are stored on S1, S2 uses security = server and password server = S1 options in smb.conf. I have upgraded both to Samba 2.2.8, but the logon script wants to connect to share from S2, it is prompted for a password. I have

secure SSL connection to openldap server fails
I am having trouble getting the Samba version 3.0.4 to connect securely to my openldap backend. I am using straight SSL and not TLS but it still seems like it is trying to connect using TLS. The samba and the openldap server are on the same machine and I can connect to the ldap server using a ldap browser via ssl without a problem so I know the ldap server is running correctly. My config is

Samba 3.0-alpha 18 with ldapsam backend and primary gid of user?
Hello list, Can someone tell me why I keep getting these kind of errors in the samba log files? I just went over from 2.2.5 to 3.0-alpha 18, I never had these errors in the 2.2.5 version. Especially the rid [0] is a complete mistery to me since I have no account defined in my ldap service that has rid 0. Thank you very much for your help. I can't assign the perms with the windows because i don't see the groups of ldap. My configuration: 1 samba-3 PDC-LDAP (scripts, bats, etc. This scripts mount shares of other samba) In this
