Slow just from a PC
I have a 10 pc network, samba dialogues regulary with all units but one. The PC in question transfers at 1/10 of speed but it's just with samba and against the samba server. If i use FTP to transfer the speed is good; the problem is only PC3->Samba server. What should I do ? Thanx for reading :o) -- ___________________________________________ SaDIKuZboy - Network admin at

[LLVMdev] Introduction.
Hello, I've been reading through the documentation for llvm and am quite interested in helping. I am an experience c and c++ programmer but a bit rusty on the compilers. I'm currently reading through the ideas for projects. It looks as through llvm may be very deep in some optimization (IPA) but not as strong in others. Are there some textbook passes which I could start with? Anyway,

Problems with userPassword when it's base64 encoded
I'm switching from OpenLDAP to the newly released Fedora Directory Server (formely known as the Netscape Directory Server) as a LDAP backend for my Samba domain. I'm now faced with a problem regarding how Fedora DS handles the userPassword field. Unlike OpenLDAP it encodes it in base64 so instead of reading userPassword: {SSHA}0lP+r3Z1NVan7Caf4CG9oSgnTbQRrv/p it reads: userPassword::

My Documents: Music shows, Pictures not so much
Hey all, I have a functioning Samba server in my test lab. All of my must-haves are met. My problem really boils down to a minor nuisance. Basically, when I log the test users in and open My Documents I only see one folder: My Music. Not that I really care but curiosity is killing me here and I can't figure out why the My Pictures folder is not present also. On top of that users love
