Driver download problem (still)...
I've gotten driver-downloads to work from WinNT/2K clients, but I still can't seem to figure out how to get things to work with Win9x clients. Here's a copy of my smb.conf file: *********** [global] printing = lprng printcap name = /etc/printcap log level = 1 load printers = no guest account = nobody security = domain workgroup =

Printer driver downloads...?
I've been googling around for quite some time, and haven't managed to find anything useful. Is there some moderately up-to-date information on how to set up the automatic print-driver download in Samba 2.2.x? I know about the "old way" of doing things, but it doesn't seem to fly with Win2K drivers. Any and all help, and pointers to FD so I can RTFD (again, haven't had

can't browse across subnets
Hi folks - I'm having an issue here. I have my samba server sitting on one subnet, and the rest of the clients sitting on another (due to IP administration reasons). I assign both my clients and the server to the same workgroup, but the winboxen clients can't browse to the samba server. The win clients all have WINS resolution turned on, and I specified all of my WINS servers in

Linux 2.2.0 and Samba client not happening for me
Dudes and/or Dudettes: HEEELLLPPP! (such a newbie statement) I can't get my remote SMB mounts to work on my Linux box. duke was happily running Slackware Linux 2.0.36 and Samba 1.9.18p8 . I upgraded to Linux 2.2.0pre9 (2.2.0final), which seemed to require upgrading to Samba 2.0.0 . (I don't remember the exact errors) Now i can't get my NT and '95 disks to stay mounted on

Dovecot 1.2.12 + Postfix + virtual domains: delivering to system users
As mentioned in my previous posting, I've set up a mailserver for a domain of Winboxen, authenticated through Active Directory. After some struggles, I finally got that working. But I also need to receive emails for a few system users on the mailserver (like postmaster, and a couple of accounts set up for maintaining the system). I thought, based on the way I read the documentation,

[LLVMdev] Simple clang + llc crash on Windows 7
Hello, I'm eager to get to know Clang+LLVM but I'm having some problems generating debug information that force llc.exe to crash. I'm running from the command-line on Windows 7 with clang+llvm versions 2.9 downloaded from the website. The input file is main.c:      void mainCRTStartup()      {      } This is compiled to intermediate with debug symbols using:      clang -g -O0 -c

Limiting incoming SIP calls & Original CallerID on transfer
I have 2 issues which I need to resolve on our production Asterisk server: We are currently using Polycom IP600 VOIP phones for our office which are capable of handling 2 calls per SIP registration. What we're finding is when staff are on the phone, Asterisk will pass them a second call which will show up on their display, and an audible beep is heard over the phone (regular call waiting). I

factanal results interpretation - am I right here?
Hi, I have obtained some results with factanal that seem to support a hypothesis I already had, and I'd like to verify that I can indeed conclude this from this new analysis. We had subjects reproduce perceived trajectories with a device that allowed us to measure spatial position (the path) and the device's orientation at any of those positions. From this, we calculated the rotation of

[LLVMdev] bitwise AND selector node not commutative?
Using the Thumb-2 target we see that ORN ( a | ^b) and BIC (a & ^b) have similar patterns, as we would expect: defm t2BIC : T2I_bin_irs<"bic", BinOpFrag<(and node:$LHS, (not node: $RHS))>>; defm t2ORN : T2I_bin_irs<"orn", BinOpFrag<(or node:$LHS, (not node: $RHS))>>; Compiling the following three works as expected: %tmp1 = xor i32

data acquisition with R?
Hello, I spent quite some time now searching for any hint that R can also be used to address the interfaces of a computer (i.e. RS232 or USB) to acquire data from measurement devices (like with the - I think it is the - devices or serial toolbox of Matlab). Is there any package available or a project going on that you know of? I would so much like to have never to work with Matlab again. The

login scripts --what to use
Hi, We're setting up a PDC, and would like to have a login script to deliver the mapped drives to users in particular groups, and connect to printers. The printer drivers come from the [print$], share. Does anyone have any good resources for this? What's the easiest and simplest thing to get going --vbscript or batch files? Thanks, chris
