Mounted a smbfs filesystem from windows 2000 server. I am not able to list about 1500 files in the mounted directory, the other directories are OK. The error I've got: smb_proc_readdir_long: name=, result=-2, rcls=1, err=123 Found no solution after searching maillist archives. System - RH7.3, 2.4.18 with xfs acl, samba-2.2.5-1. I have a printer connected to my RedHat 7.2 server. I have Samba running on it and local printing is OK. The printer is defined as RAW. I can see the shared printer on my Windows 98 clients. Hi all! In the var directory I noticed a log. file that contains: nsswithc/winbindd_util.c:parse_id_list(711) and windbind uid parameter missing (anyone know what parm is missing??) I noticed in the log.winbindd file there's broken pipe errors which I hope are related to the missing parm error. thx, john

I can remove the /var/locl/subsys/winbindd file to clear the subsys locked message but this does not chnage the winbind crash problem.
