Message "Couldn't verify trusting domain account. Error was NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE" while attempting "net rpc trustdom establish domain_B"
This is a little of a new experience for me, I am a bit of a novice. I have usually been able to stumble around documentation and other mailing lists to figure out problems, unfortunately I have struck and issue that has me going around in circles ... I have set up a VPN between three locations using openvpn (device = tun ), two satellite locations (referred to as B & C) talking to a

net rpc trustdom list: enumerates all accounts
Hello When I perform the "net rpc trustdom list" command I get the "couldn't enumerate accounts" error. I use LDAP as passdb backend with approximately 30000 accounts. If I run the command, I can see from my LDAP logs that it tries to list every account on the LDAP server. Therefore the "net rpc trustdom list" command times out. Is this normal behaviour?

Winbind: login "cannot find name for group ID XXXXX" ONLY RedHat 8
My RedHat 8.0 workstation doesn't want to play nice with Winbind. The rest of our Samba servers (on RedHat 7.3) are working fine, and I am familiar with setting up Winbind. Samba: 2.2.7a (RPM from Samba.org. RedHat's RPMs do same thing.) Kernel 2.4.20 NT 4 domain I'd copied the pam and smb.conf from a working box in testing. Getent passwd and group works, BUT getent group

Format of LSA Secret for Interdomain Trust Password
Hello, all! Let's say, hypothetically, that one was trying to migrate a NT4 domain to Samba without the knowledge of the NT admin of a domain you trusted. :) Basically, what I need is the password for my trust account, but it's in some obfuscated hash under the G$$xxxxx secret. Does anybody know how this is stored, or am I down to sniffing network traffic? Thanks, David Boynton

samba-3 trustdom AD (mixed mode) problem
Hi, I want to get my SAMBA-3.0.0 domain to trust W2K AD (mixed mode) both ways. I don't want to make my samba box an AD member, just trust it. Samba-PDC uses ldap as passdb. winbind isn't used. WINS server is running in W2K PDC server. Also created a machine account entry to LDAP base, set samba I flag. Here we go (using mmc @ w2k PDC): I add my samba domain to "Domains trusted by

Trustdom not working if trusted smbd > 3.2.4
I'm trying (for a while now) to upgrade to 3.3.x my samba PDC, but I've troubles with the trusting PDC. While using samba > 3.2.4 on the trusted side, the trusting side can no more enumerate users and groups from the trusted PDC. Winbind raises the error NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED while trying to connect with NTLMMSP. I saw this behaviour with 3.2.6, 3.3.0 and now 3.3.2 on the trusted

Issues with trustdom on 3.0.9
I upgraded from 2.2.12 (and kept my tdb files -- it is a possibility that this is a part of my problem, but let me run it by you anyway). I'm attempting to do a domain trust between my production domain and a test domain. However, on my production domain, I have the following problem: # /products/samba/bin/net rpc trustdom list -U novosirj Password: Trusted domains list: NWK-DEV

Trustdom setup and trusted group management
Hello, I did join 2 sites using an IPSEC tunnel, and made one domain trust the other (2 small Samba DC based domains with about 10 users in each) I first had resolving issues until I decided to keep only one WINS server for both networks (though this is still an issue to me because if for any reason the tunnel is broken, I have no longer WINS on one side). Finally here is my setup : Network A

smbpasswd and rpcclient differences between 3.0.14a and 3.0.21a
Hi all, The problem is that from version 3.0.21a the commands rpcclient and smbpasswd does't work as before (and as I wish), when connecting to remote Windows2000 domain controller. Below are some tests and outputs, which show the command outputs. In both cases samba is compiled from original sources. OS - Debian testing and verified on Ubuntu. Re: why there havn't "app_meetme.so"fileaboutasterisk1.4.0?
Removed the DEPENDS_app_meetme=ZAPTEL from the file menuselect.makedeps And in menuselect.makeopts I removed the DEPSFAILED line that had meetme in it. It then compiled. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of ??
