Bug?
Almighty Repo Maintainers, I believe the current repository version of Xen for Lenny stable may be afflicted with this bug, which prevents domUs from shutting down/rebooting properly. http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2009-01/msg00050.html What say you? mode data=journal. Is it safe to use?
Hello I can see several postings on this mailing-list that people have problem with mounting ext3 partition with mode data=journal. See URL's: https://www.redhat.com/archives/ext3-users/2004-March/msg00000.html https://www.redhat.com/archives/ext3-users/2004-March/msg00050.html We are going to use ext3 on a Compact Flash disk in true IDE mode. We need this filesystem to be as safe and

mode data=journal in ext3. Is it safe to use?
Hello I try again. Can anybody of you acknowledge or not if mode data=journal in ext3 is safe to use in Linux kernel 2.6.x? Wee need to have a very consistent and integrity for our filesystem, and it would then be desired to journal both data and metadata. But if this mode can corrupt the filesystem as both Phil White and Nicolas Kowalski has experienced, it may be more advised to use mode

Problem with smbfs on 2.4.18 kernel
Hi all.. I have found some problems on smbfs module in 2.4.18 kernel. I compiled it by myself (not the very first kernel compilation in my life ;-)) and then I have got it. Looks like it touch smbfs module as when I recompile 2.4.18 modules with smbfs sources changed to sources of smbfs from 2.4.17 problem disappears!! My mainboard is Abit BE6 with Pentium III 450 MHz. I am using SuSE 7.3 with

Booting C 6.0 from C 5.7
I installed C 6.0 in an empty partition. It functioned. Despite using the usually successful methods of booting into another operating system from C 5.7, I can't get into C 6.0 Tried:- title C6-0 (2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64) rootnoverify (hd0,6) chainloader +1 and root (hd0,6) kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64 ro root=UUID=67c62872-0c69-451c-8412-3c218c0d2cb0 rd_NO_LUKS rd_NO_LVM

[PATCH v3 0/8] Windows BitLocker support.
As discussed in the emails today, this is the third version addressing most points from the v1/v2 review. You will need to pair this with the changes in libguestfs-common from this series: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-September/msg00050.html Rich.

apply with multiple conditions
Hello all, I have written a for loop to act on a dataframe with close to 3million rows and 6 columns and I would like to pass it to apply() to speed the process up (I let the loop run for 2 days before stopping it and it had only gone through 200,000 rows) but I am really struggling to find a way to pass the arguments. Below are the loop and the head of the dataframe I am working on. Any hints

Journal File Missing?
Hopefully, someone can tell me if this is OK. I recently had a problem with my system and had to do a complete restore. Fortunately, I had made a full backup just the day before. My filesystems are Ext3 (why else would I be posting this here?). :) Anyway, when I originally changed my filesystems from Ext2 to Ext3, I did while they were still mounted. As a result, the journal file was visible.

Libvirt guest can't boot up when use ceph as storage backend with Selinux enabled
Hi there, I met one problem that guest fail to boot up when Selinux is enabled with guest storage based on ceph. However, I can boot the guest with qemu directly. I also can boot it up with Selinux disabled. Not sure it is a libvirt bug or wrong use case. 1. Enable Selinux # getenforce && iptables -L Enforcing Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT) target prot opt source destination
