problem with samba 3.0 beta
Hi!
I am using samba 3.0 beta as a PDC with ldap authentication.
I am able to login to win 98 machine with samba as PDC.
The problem i am facing is samba requires /etc/passwd entry of user in addition
to ldap entry. I am pasting my smb.conf for ref.
Is it possible to use only ldap account so that i do not have to add /etc/passwd
entry.
I have not added ldap entry in /etc/nsswitch.conf file.

This is a very old version which is EOL. If you can upgrade to any of the
supported version (3.10 or 3.12) would be great.
They have many new features, bug fixes & performance improvements. If you
can try to reproduce

HI gluster experts,
I meet a tough problem about ?split-brain? issue. Sometimes, after hard reboot, we will find some files in split-brain, however its parent directory or anything could be shown in command ?gluster volume heal <volume-name> info?, also, no entry in .glusterfs/indices/xattrop directory, can you help to shed some lights on this issue? Thanks!
Following is some info from

Hi,
To resolve the gfid split-brain you can follow the steps at [1].
Since we don't have the pending markers set on the files, it is not showing
in the heal info.
To debug this issue, need some more data from you. Could you provide these
things?
1. volume info
2. mount log
3. brick logs
4. shd log
May I also know which version of gluster you are running. From the info you
have provided it

Hi,
Thanks for reply!
I?ve checked [1]. But the problem is that there is nothing shown in command ?gluster volume heal <volume-name> info?. So these split-entry files could only be detected when app try to visit them.
I can find gfid mismatch for those in-split-brain entries from mount log, however, nothing show in shd log, the shd log does not know those split-brain entries. Because there

Flow Control and Port Mirroring Revisited
Hi,
Back in October I reported that I noticed a problem whereby flow control
breaks down when openvswitch is configured to mirror a port[1].
I have (finally) looked into this further and the problem appears to relate
to cloning of skbs, as Jesse Gross originally suspected.
More specifically, in do_execute_actions[2] the first n-1 times that an skb
needs to be transmitted it is cloned first and

tftp-hpa loads but stalls
Hello,
I am attempting pxelinux via dhcpd/tftpd. If I use the system
default tftpd daemon, then pxelinux loads but then complains about
the tsize option.
I've downloaded tftp-hpa-0.34, compiled and installed. I also
edited inetd.conf according to README.security and then reloaded inetd.
/tftpboot directory and all files and directories have nobody:nobody

Compiling samba 3.0.3 --with-pam errors pam_modules.h
I've seen this mentioned in the past, but no solutions were suggested. When
I attempt to configure --with-pam the following is produced on Solaris 8.
configure:5625: checking security/pam_modules.h usability
configure:5634: gcc -c -O -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64
