I cannot print across my subnets using microsoft win9networking. I have two subnets 192.168.0 & 192.168.1 of which the linux running samba server is the router using two ethernet cards . Workstations on both subnets share their printers from win95. Win95 machines from both sides of the subnet can telnet to both ethernet cards on the server and can also ping all machines across the two

One way crappy audio in iax call - Asterisk 1.6.2.15
Hi, We had 2 asterisk 1.4 connected together in iax, all was fine. One of them was upgraded (server and Asterisk) in 1.6.2.15, the other end is in 1.4.38 When calling to 1.4 to 1.6.2 -remember, it's iax- all is good. But calling from 1.6.2 to 1.4 give a bad audio to calling party (words are cutted, you can't understand the words). On callee party it's still good. We replace

New X crappy for older stuff?
While burning in a new desktop Epox KT-880 workstation, I'm running on my old K6-III at 360MHz. Before new X updates (put everything in today, kernel, elfutils, ntpd - Selinux issues? - xorg, ...) with my PCI ATI 7000 (Radeon) on a 19" Samsung 950b @ 1024x768 (one of 5 different resolutions I commonly use), I could scroll smoothly at reasonable rates. With the new stuff I get severe

subnet browsing problems
hi! I'm experiencing troubles with $(subj). What I actually had before is an NT box. Now it's been replaced by FreeBSD box with 2 network interfaces: ed0 has real ip address & ed1 has local ip 10.0.0.1. NT box is now assigned ip 10.0.0.2 & is connected to FreeBSD's ed1. After this change NT box doesn't see its workgroup. Workgroup has WINS server (functioning on

Subnet browsing with alpha4
We got a network with 6 sites, each with their own subnet. 5 sites uses Windows NT 4.0 server with all the bells and whistles. The last site uses Windows 95 and Windows NT workstation as clients, but only Samba based unix servers. Each site has its own domain/workgroup, and we got a working WINS setup. The five NT sites can browse the unix site, but the unix site can't browse the NT sites. I

Cross-subnet browsing (again)
I have a network with several sites, and all clients (mostly win9x) using one WINS server (Samba on RH Linux). The different sites have one or more workgroups each, and I want all workgroups to be visible and browsable for all clients. As far as I can make out, the clients at the various networks can only browse the workgroups which are either local or the one the WINS server is a member of. Not

Cross-subnet browsing, with a twist
Hi, We have a server being hosted in a data center. We would like to use it as our PDC. I got the remote browse sync and announce figured out. But, if possible, we would prefer not have the domain/workgroup advertised on the subnet where the PDC reside and conversely not receive the browse list for workgroup hosted on the PDC subnet on our local net. Right now, I firewalled the subnet
