Win2k Printer Installation Woes Continue....
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Sorry, I'm a bit slap-happy...been fighting Win2k/APW problems ever since I upgraded to 2.2.3a. Still having problems >2.2.4-pre and now 2.2.4. I have a workaround, sort of...set disable spoolss=no, install drivers for the HP printers; then set disable spoolss=yes. Add "use client driver=no" on each of the HP printer entries. Add

Win2k Printing Problems
I just joined this list, If this has been answered before I apologize: I have a Redhat 7.2 box running Samba 2.2.4 I have a few printers running on JetDirect boxes that I am attempting to print to. Printing Problem
Hi there. I have the following Problem (configuration follows): I have configured Samba with 3 printers, 2 of them with direct connection over TCP, because they are connected directly to the internal network. When I try to print on one of them, the printing application on a Windows XP Professional client freezes and a Windows 2000 client reports an error message, that there is a problem with

Specific PPD Files are not downloaded on an automatic installation
Hi there! I am trying to get the samba cups integration to work. After some fiddling I can now install the Adobe Postscript Printer driver remotely. Unfortunately Windows 98 clients (I haven't checked with NT,2000,XP yet) only get the default ppd. What is the proper naming convention for the ppd files? Currently we use the printer DNS name pr100, pr101, pr102, ... Should the ppd files be named

Samba woes with file xcopy from Win2K
I'm trying to do some quick backups from a Win2K laptop to a Fedora Core 1 desktop but it ain't working. The backups are just a bunch of xcopy's. Most of them run fine but two fail and I don't understand why. It appears that xcopy is attempting to create directories in both cases. When I run the backup targeting a Win98 desktop there is no problem. Here are two examples of

re: DTMF woes, continued
Hi Yair, Please let me if you managed to fix the DTMF tone issue, which you were experiencing couple of months ago. If not can you share any advancement. I'm currently experiencing the same issue, I can make outbound calls but DTMF will not work when dialing IVRs. My configuration is asterisk@home 1.5, registering to Voip provider (Symbio), codec is g.729 and dtmf mode is set to rfc2833.

asterisk-addons / OS X woes (continued)
Hi, Using Zack's -shared replacement posted earlier, addons now compiles. For some reason though, when trying to load it cannot find cdr_mysql.conf even though it's in the /etc/asterisk directory as it should be. Anyone with any ideas? There's still references to _i386 files that are probably incorrect as well. Thanks Rob console messages: apsvr1*CLI> reload Mar 23

Compiling Samba For OPENLinux 3.1.1
Hello. I am looking to get the parameters that the Caldera RPM was made with. I have noticed that it is not being updated and would like to get the current ver. on my system, but need to have the same links to various files. Can anyone help me to find the parameters? I would be interested in making the RPMs but need to know how to make them first, maybe some direction to info on making RPMs.

Analog FXO Woes Continue
I've been struggling with a test * install for a couple months now in a small office and am just about ready to give up on it. It's not that the system itself is a problem. I've got everything (attendant, voicemail, FXS extensions, Cisco and Polycom hard-IP phones, and 2 VOIP carriers) working except for the frigging analog FXO interfaces. These things are driving me completely mad.

OpenVMS SSH password expiry woes continue
I sent in a patch a week or so ago for a problem a customer of mine was seeing when trying to connect to their OpenVMS system with an 3.8.1p2 OpenSSH client (running on a linux box or in cygwin) and trying to login to an account who had an expired password. The problem continues although now it has nothing to do with what my patch handled as they have since upgraded their SSH software on the VMS
