I've been having some trouble getting ACLs to work under my Samba 2.2.4 client (talking to my 2.2.4 "PDC"). Finally, I checked the log and realized that it wasn't able to map SIDs to UID/GIDs. When using the -z and -B65536 options together, sometimes there is file corruption. Client and server are both compiled against zlib 1.1.4, so the gzip corruption shouldn't be there, right? All seams to be perfect but only clients with W2K SP2 cannot use there roaming profiles. ---> "Access Denyed" is the W2K errro message. But if the same user loggs on on a client machine with W2K SP1 all things are ok.
