Struggle with Postfix/Dovecot-auth and SASL
Hi List, I just updated an old sendmail installation to a modern postfix/dovecot system with mysql backend. Everything works fine but SMTP-AUTH fails with some clients. The problem is, that with PLAIN (old) clients send the base64 coded form: USERNAME\0USERNAME\0PASSWORD which, as i understand dovecot interprets as MASTERUSER\0USERNAME\PASSWORD. New clients send \0USERNAME\0PASSWORD which works

interpolation of lost frames
Hi, When an audiopacket is received too late I could interpolate this frame. The problem is that I don't know if it is a true bufferloss or just the last audiopacket of a talkspurt. Now my question is if it's harmfull for the audioquality that at the end of the talkspurt one frame is interpolated? Or would this be almost inpossible to hear since the last audiopacket in the talkspurt

AW: CentOS 5 release for IBM z/Series?
Hi dag! Thx for your reply! So, there will be no release in the near future of centos 5 for Z? At the moment we got a realy small z/linux installation, but i love it. Keeping the TCO as low as we can was necessary to satisfy the decision-maker. So we decided to choos a free linux distribution, centos was a good decicion we thougt. (redhat / fedora was always my favorite flavor *g*) It would

Win2K access denied on shares from Samba PDC
HAve looked in archive - can't find anyone with same error. I have a samba 2.2.8 (just upgraded rpm) and am trying to give user access to their home dirs. All are created using adduser (uname) and smbpasswd -a (username) (passwd) on samba. During client login, I get a message about an error creating roaming profile. I can map to the users home dir on the server, but any attempt to create

lets talk abaut gstreamer 1.10.5, gstreamer-libav, ffmpeg, bluray and vlc
Hello guys, my playground this days with gstreamer resources can be found at: http://centos.cms4all.org/repo/7/gstreamer/ The best thing for centos I think to compile the given one by gstream libav: Has ffmpeg 3.2.5 not ffmpeg 2.8.13 what is the background for vlc. In principal it's possible to build ffmpeg 3.4. http://centos.cms4all.org/repo/7/gstreamer-ffmpeg3/ vlc 2.26 is only

URGENT: WIN2K INVALID VOLUMENAME
Dear Samba Users I detected a strange behaviour between Win2k Prof. and Samba and I hope somebody can help me fixing it. The Bug: ======= Samba does not correctly return the volume name back to win2k. In the man pages it is written that by default the sharename is returned as volumename. This works fine for Win98 and NT4 but not for Win2k. If I say "label v:" (needless to say that v:

RPMs
Hi, I think my problem is related to the way i make my RPMs (i'm newbie at this). Two things: 1) the generated RPMs are only 1,5 kb size. That's inpossible. 2) The rpmbuild -ba zbr.spec indeed installs the software in the building stage. That's odd, isn't it ? Following my signature is an openssl.spec file Any help would be appreciated. Warm regards, M?rio Gamito --

Profile creation
SAMBA VERSION: 2.2.4 ERROR(S): Profile Creation I have recently been assigned to create a Samba PDC. Earlier in the week, I thought I was successful. I was able to log in, load (or create) the test user's .ntprofile, etc. Went home that night, happy as could be. Came back the next day - and nothing was working correctly. The systems could not find the domain. The domain was not

"No such file" error when reading Win98 profiles
Hi all, I'm having an odd error with Samba 2.2.5 and I'm wondering if anyone can give me a hand with it. About a month ago, I upgraded from Samba 2.2.1 to 2.2.5 on RedHat 7.2 and, since then, my Win98 users have been receiving "No such file or directory" errors during login. The upgrade was installed using John Terpstra's RH 7.2 RPM package. Users are set up with roaming
