Fax on demand
I know you're looking to do this with asterisk, however, if you have trouble and want an outsourced solution, try www.openfax.com. You can do the IVR with Asterisk and then write a script that calls Openfax and they send out the fax for you.

Hi,
Anyone having problems receiving DTMF on incoming iConnectHere

And, yes, we've restarted * and rebooted our * machine.

Help for oh323
Hi Friends,
Hope you would help me out here, I have searched the asterisk
user list for hours and also read the readme and test files that
comes with the driver. I need a very simple scenario. I have SIP
clients and want to use oh323 to dial out to PSTN using a h323 gateway.
a)If I set the extention.conf like this:
exten => _87.,1,Dial(OH323/16.52.153.206)
oh323 dials out (I can ring a

File Sharing
I have a network with one Linux machine and samba 2.0.7 as well as two
windows 98 machines.
We use one hard disk on the Linux machine to share important project files.
Often we create new directories and here is the problem:
The one creating the directory has full access (of course) but the other
has not!
I put create mode 777 but that is not done.
The folder is /home/tmp but it is shared

Playing the invalid extension input
Maybe it is trying to say "i" as a digit?
You could have an [invalid] context with
[invalid]
exten => _.,1,Saydigits(${EXTEN})
and then include it at the very end of the [default] context (or wherever
you want to use it). That would then pick up anything that drops through. If
you do it any other way it will get sorted to the top and you will have
trouble!

chan_dialogic
The advice i was given was to spend the license money on a digium card and sell the dialogic on ebay!
Whilst the digium card requires more
from the host processor and may not be approved in as many countries as the equivelent dialogic,
I think that for most cases the advice was sound.
Actually, I kept the dialogic card, but
that was for support purposes.

Penalty in queues.conf
It's so you can have agents that are less likely to take calls (e.g. imagine
a sales queue, you'd have the sales people with no penalty, you might have
the receptionists with a penalty of 1 and us propeller heads in technical
support with a penalty of 2).
The technical support people would only be offered a call from the sales
queue if all the sales people and the receptionists were busy.

Fax
Hi all !
Let's say you have about 6 small different companies sharing the same E1
/ Asterisk server, and every company needs its own fax number. Since
they don't really need fax machines, what would be the most
cost-effective way to handle this (keeping fax-privacy at its best) ?
Is there a way to configure Hylafax or sth & one modem behind an ATA-186

Problem printing from NT to printer attached to LInux box
I installed Samba 2.2.2 on my Linux box. The smb.conf file is as shown
below. The permission on /var/spool/lpd/lp is set to 755; ie, it is
writable only by the owner, which is lp. With the setup as is, when I
try to print from the NT machine, the smb log on the Linux box
indicates the following error: " print_job_start: insufficient
permissions to open spool file /var/spool/lpd/lp".
