Problem with DTMF 'looping' / mis-dials (X100P card)
Hi all, I'm having a problem with * being very finicky about the length of DTMF key-presses during menus, voicemail, etc. Basically, short (<100 ms) tones are ignored, anything between 100ms (or so) and about 300ms is correctly detected, and anything >300ms is interpreted as multiple presses of the same key. This is terrible for callers who are trying to get to the correct

setting up incoming PPP on centos 4.4
hi gang! I'm interested in setting up incoming PPP on a system at work that has a fresh (not upgrade) Centos 4.4 on it. All the documentation I've found for that shows using mgetty to do it, and seems pretty straightforward. However, that machine doesn't have a binary named mgetty anywhere. It does have a mgetty-sendfax RPM installed, but it does not provide a binary named mgetty.

VPN over PPP - more detail
Hi All, Let me try again, this time with fixed width ! First off the scenario. We have a local and remote site, both of which connect to the internet via a wireless network. The wireless cards themselves have both an ethernet (ixp1) and an "Atheros" (ath0) interface. The devices connect via PPPoE, and so there is also a ppp0 interface on each device. On one side we have : IXP1 IP

shape downstream of a ppp link
Hi, is it anyhow possible to tell the other end of the ppp link how he should queue the packages? I have a ppp link to my isp and would like to control the order of packages send to me. I would like to give uucp a lower priority than http. Is this possible? Has ppp any special features to control such things? put shaping on ppp or eth?
Hi, I wanna do some shaping on a DSL line that is plugged to the eth1 nic. Should I attach the qdiscs directly to the ppp device or can I use the eth1 device instead? What (and why) makes more sense? thx cb _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl http://mailman.ds9a.nl/mailman/listinfo/lartc HOWTO: http://lartc.org/

help with spatstat ppp transformation data
Hello I am currently studying spatial distribution of lizards in Spain and Germany. For this I am using the spatstat package of R to make a Kolmogorov-Smirnov test of CSR of unmarked points data. I have problems transforming the data to ppp class, and I would like to know if you can help me. I have already made the test with the data of 'japanesepines' that comes with the package, and

Can I browse the network through PPP?
Hi, I am using Windows 95 dial-up networking to connect to a Samba box (the Samba box is a PPP server). I am having problems to browse the Network Neighborhood in Windows 95 and I do not why. The problem is random: sometimes I see computers and sometimes I don't. I have read the BROWSING.txt document and tried several smb.conf settings but nothing seems to help. When I connect using

Hi, I installed CentOS 3.3 and kept the machine up2date. I installed poptop and the newest ppp-cvs version ( ppp-2.4.3-0.cvs_20040527.6) We are running a ssh + ppp tunnel for our internet tunnel/tunnel to our NOC. Trying to restart IPv6 over PPP
My IPv6 connection over my PPPoE link is down. IPv4 is up. I have tried: /etc/ppp/ipv6-up ppp0 and get the error: ./network-functions: line 78: ifcfg-: No such file or directory The gateway has been up and running for > 150 days. I have not been testing anything IPv6 out of my net for a while, so don''t know when IPv6 connectivity went south. I don''t want to restart

ADSL with PPP failover
Hi - I''ve been looking around for simple answers to this for a while now, but haven''t been able to find any HOW-TO type documentation. I am administering a site with a remote location connected primarily via a cipe tunnel over a SHDSL connection. We also have a direct PSTN connection between the sites. Seeing as phone calls here are not timed I plan to keep the PSTN connection

negative x y in ppp.object
Dear all, I am using the spatstat package, but my field data was a mirror image of the data plotted by plot.ppp(X). Therefore I changed it using -x and -y coordinates. However, I guess (I saw "debug") that I get some error messages because of that. So, could anyone please tell me if I really can not use negative values for x and y coordinates in a ppp.object (and relates analysis)?

extracting averages from smooth.ppp output on spatstat
I have used smooth.ppp in spatstat to create a smoothed surface plot based on randomly selected depths across a lake (as marks). I wonder if based on the smoothed surface plot if I can calculate the average depth for each 10x10 grid square across the lake. I can't see any obvious way of doing this and would appreciate some pointers. Many thanks, Graham [[alternative HTML version

tinc with PPP support
Hello, How about including support for PPP in tinc (echelon)? This not as an alternative protocol, but as a replacement for the tap device. Most unices have fully functional PPP daemons; if tinc were to be able to communicate with them, those could be used instead of tap devices (which are only known to Linux natively). Met vriendelijke groet, Guus Sliepen. --- TINC development list,
