Fw: Session logging in Windows98?
Does anyone have a function such as tee() described below? It would be nice not to have to go to Emacs and have to deal with yet another editor. ----- Original Message ----- From: "BXC (Bendix Carstensen)" <bxc at novonordisk.com> To: <r-help at lists.r-project.org> Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2000 10:05 PM Subject: RE: [R] Session logging in Windows98? FW: smbmount question
Nevermind...need to read the whole msg... I didn't notice you were installing WINS on the NT box...hence the reboot. Standard practice for Winxx: 1. Install, reboot 2. Update, reboot, repeat.... I support about 25 pc's-it annoys the hell out of me how MS manages updates. How many Internet Explorer security updates have there been so far this year-22? Each one of them requires a

Malcolm I have followed these suggestions, but the files re still not available on the client (ls shows zero). It would appear to be a permissions issues. Enclosed zip of fstabs and smb.conf I have a question about the concepts here. To serve a WIN share (to WIN clients), what steps must be followed? Do I mount, or smbmount? is file type ntfs, or smbfs? Thinking about it, this is my

Locking problem
Hi all! I am using Debian Sarge with Samba version 3.0.14a-Debian and experience a locking problem: the program is a linux port of a Clipper program compiled with xHarbour (www.xharbour.org). It uses byte-range-locking to lock a record of a dbf database. If I mount the server directory over an smbmount and start 2 clients on the server accessing the server directory over the smbmount, the

Samba mount with Kerberos of 2000/2003 share
I have compiled samba 3.0.6 with MIT 1.3.1 Kerberos and I can successfully use smbclient with Kerberos against a 2000/2003 Windows share. When I try the same with smbmount I get the warning: "Warning: kerberos support will only work for samba servers". I am wondering why smbmount doesn't work against 2000/2003 fileshares with Kerberos, although smbclient works fine and smbmount
