CORRECTION: I must modify/clarify my statement about .0 releases ...
In looking through Red Hat's FTP site, I can find no such statement with regards to "do not use on production servers" in any README or Release Notes of Hurricane, Hedwig, Guinness or Psyche (Red Hat Linux 5.0, 6.0, 7 and 8.0, respectively). What I have found in my archives is a cutting from the official Red Hat Network (RHN) announcement of Psyche (8.0) that says two things: 1)

Unexplained shutdown of VM on upgrade of libvirt package
I am running KVM on Centos 6.3 and am seeing an unexplained shut down of two guests. The libvirt package was upgraded to libvirt-0.10.2-18.el6_4.4.x86_64 at the time of the shutdown. Only the two guests shown below was affected, while 9 others running on the same hypervisor were not. Can some one help me to find the cause please ? Regards Chandana GUEST #1 ======== 2013-04-10

Hello Shorewall gurus, I have a dilemma with a public server. I want to migrate the current public server over to a new machine behind the current server''s firewall (shorewall 1.4). I have included a diagram below to help explain the target network I am working toward. I have read the shorewall online documentation and though I have used Shorewall the past 4 years in the current

Hello folks, I am running Samba 2.2.3a, on a RedHat 7.2 server. So far everything seems to be working fine. I can access shares, print from Windows clients, but I cannot change the password from the Win98 client. When I try, Windows tells me that the old password is incorrect. Attached is a patch against the Webmin-1.070 Shorewall module that corrects this problem and also adds the ''DNAT-'' action for rules. To apply the patch, you will need the ''patch'' utility: cd <webmin shorewall directory - on
