When I try to logon to my windows XP box I get the following error message from windows: Windows did not load your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on with your local profile. Hello, At one time I installed an alpha of samba-3.0 and it had a smbgroupedit command that mapped unix and windows groups via webmin. This seems to be missing in beta3, has it been depreciated? hello, I would say that for Samba 3.0 alpha20 (and latter I suppose ) acting as PDC you must reenable "use spnego=yes". I say it because it is not clear, and I had to search a lot before finding why i could not log on. (it work with spnego=no with alpha17 !) I was previously using 2.2.8 and had 'domain admin group = @smbadmin' set making anybody in the smbadmin group an administrator. However, with samba-3.0 that went away. So, I set 'admin users = @smbadmin name1 name2...' but it doesn't give my users administrative privilege. The logs seem to indicate that the account has administrative privileges but they do not.
