I cant get samba to recognize my smb.conf file

Now I am fully confused I want to use ACL's on my filesystem but I can not make a Samba installation that reads my smb.conf file. I have the same problems with the Samba 2.2.3 CVS. HEAD CVS branch and group mapping problems
I have finally gotten my system working but am now perplexed about how to do group mapping. I have read and followed the smbgroupedit instructions but to no avail. I have a SID in my windows xp box that shows the correct SID but does not map it to a human friendly name ie. Domain Admins. So thus I can not have effective groups on my server yet (bummer). It shows a broken SID icon for the admin

Stange behavior with g729 and DTMF
Hi all, I have a SPA 1001 with DTMF set to auto. A sip.conf peer with codec alaw, ulaw, g729. I have dtmf=inband as this peer was only supporting alaw/ulaw. They just add g729, it's a GW to landline phones. A call passing through this peer give me "WARNING Inband not supported with g729, use RFC2833 instead". The call is connecting and DTMF is working. Don't wish to be a pest, but you guys have done so much for our

Stange NIC Problem: DFE-538TX
Hi there, I'm having an odd problem where this NIC (cheap-o, yes I know) doesn't seem to work on FreeBSD correctly. I have the same cards (even revision models) in two win boxen and they work fine. 10baseT works but not 100baseT. With a normal NIC config, without explicitly setting the media to 10baseT, it will autosense as 100BaseT @ full-duplex, showing active. However I can't
