Toshiba's ConfigFree under Wine?
Hello ... I have been trying to install Toshiba's ConfigFree software under Wine-0.9.21 (Adam Schreiber's pre-built package For Slackware-10.2) on a laptop running Slackware Linux (10.2), and I keep running into trouble. I have made sure to run winecfg before starting, so I think I should be ready to go. The installer ("setup.exe") starts, and the dialog boxes appear to

Problems Getting Kerberos Compiled in with Samba 3.0 Alpha9 o n HPUX 11.00 64 Bit
Hi, I was trying to install Samba 3.0 Alpha 9 onto a server running HPUX 11.00 64 bit. I have the Openldap libraries installed and also Kerberos (the PAM Kerberos and KRB5 Dev Tools available from the HPUX application CDs). I have followed the instructions as outlined in the Samba 3.0 prealpha guide to Kerberos authentication (Steps 1-2, Step 5) and everything seems to be fine at steps 1-2 (the

Increasing memory size in ESS
I am having a problem using ESS with R. In particular I have large data objects which exceed the 6Mb default heap memory. Outside of ESS I can run R by specifying large values of --vsize and --nsize but I can't figure out how to do this in ESS. Any help would be much appreciated. -- **************************************************** ** Angelo J. Canty **

Hello, I have bought Powerman Optima 500 Plus UPS. While this product might be unknown outside Russia, it is shipped with megatec software and obviously works with megatec driver in NUT. besides the following problems (I think they are caused by one reason): 1) megatac driver is able to load and detect UPS only on second or third run. On the first run it typically fails. Later if daemon is

loading data in packages
Hi, I'm new to R and have a question which seems like it should be easy. I loaded the R port of my boot library and installed it. All of the functions and help files are available but I can't seem to access the data. The data directory was created and contains files with the extension .rda. I tried to use the data() function but I get > data(city) Error: restore file corrupted -- no

Calling Rscript from Matlab on OS X
This posting is for the help-file record in that the problem has already been resolved via a misplaced discussion in the R-bug forum (Bug 14894). I place it here so make it easier for others to find. The problem involved an error in calling "Rscript" from Matlab on Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard". The "stats" library could not be found. The solution was to set the

cross-realm spnego issue in 3.0.2rc1
Hi, I just installed 3.0.2rc1 for testing, and I came across a problem with cross-realm authentication. I joined samba to our active directory domain, and I can see that it has host and cifs principals in windows kerberos. Our organization's primary kerberos realm (CEDE.PSU.EDU) is an MIT kerb5 realm, and we have a one-way non-transitive trust such that windows (server 2003) kerberos

graphical parameters in plot
I'm using plot to make a simple plot but I want to control where the tick marks go on bot axes. The graphical parameters xaxp and yaxp seem to be ignored by the plot function so I tried setting them using op <- par(no.readonly=T) par(xaxp=c(-2.4,-2.2,5), yaxp=c(-2500,10000,6)) plot(...) par(op) but they are still ignored. Next I tried to use the axis function as follows op <-
