I have encountered a problem reading SAS transport files on both a Mac (OS X) and Linux (RedHat 9), both using R2.0.1. win 2000 - samba unix mount
Happy new year samba supporters!! I am new to samba. I am a UNIX admin and no little of MS shares. I am trying to use samba to mount/share my unix home dir on my pc running win 2000 pro. The samba server is running and I can smbclient to my user id successfully on the server. I have tried security user AND share. Either way, when I try mapping network drive on pc, specify user and password I get

I am having a problem with Samba 2.2.2 mapped drives under Windows NT. Specifically, the problem is that users cannot either read directly from (by double-clicking on a file), nor directly write to the root of a mapped drive. R 2.15.1 OS 10.7 Colleagues I have been an enthusiastic user of the sas7bdat package in R. However, several recent sas7bdat files sent to me from different sources cannot be read by the package.
