[Fwd: Eicon Diva 2.01 S/T PCI quality problems]
Hi all,
I'm experimenting with Asterisk on linux using an Eicon Diva 2.01 S/T PCI card.
I'd set up the card using the hisax driver and isdn4linux (titled as "Old
ISDN4Linux (obsolete)" in the 2.6.12 kernel. I can make SIP calls and outgoing
phone calls as well, but gathered a few problems on my way:
1. Plain SIP calls using softphones on windows clients work fine not counting

phones and have
them all answer so I page everbody. When I use Dial( ext&ext&ext... ) the first
phone that answers

Inexistant file displayed by samba
Hello,
Running 3.2.0, and in one of my share, a file named TABAFK~V
appeared, but is not present on the underlying filesystem.
The file can't be removed from a windows client (even a member of
domain admins).
Not that it is distrubing, but you know...

Problems building 4.8 STABLE
I tried rebuilding yesterday. It failed [I don't recall the
output].
I then completely deleted the /usr/src and /usr/obj, and cvsuped
again last night [Approx 7PM on 2003-06-23]. I set the machine
up with a buildworld and went to bed.
This am I looked at the nohup.out file that was generated and it
had failed.
I took out the NOMAN=false in /etc/make.conf - as it appeared

Help with packages (methods, stats, stats4)
1. Unless there is a good reason not to, please always cc the list. As you
note, I may misunderstand or just be too stupid, so you increase your
chance of getting a good answer by ccing them, which I have done here
2. It looks like you need to install the multcomp package. Have you?

Samba problem
Hi,
I have a problem connecting my Windows98 to the Samba server.
The Linux computer comes up in the "Network Neighborhood" control panel,
but when I double click on the icon, W98 asks for a password for the
"\\machine name\IPC$" resource.
But my password will not me accepted. I have logged in as user "root"
with
a given password on both computers.

[LLVMdev] Analysis of polly-detect overhead in oggenc
Hi all,
I have attached a patch file to reduce the polly-detect overhead.
My idea is to avoid calling TypeFinder in Non-DEBUG mode, so TypeFinder is only called in DEBUG mode with the DEBUG macro.
This patch file did this work with following modifications:
First, it keeps most of string information by replacing "<<" with "+" operation. For example, code like this:

eps embedded fonts again
Dear friends,
I am sorry, I again rise that boring question about font embedding in
EPS figure.
I found some discussions on this topic but there were no strait solution.
The publisher (AIP) demands submission of separate EPS file
for each figure with all fonts embedded in it (even the standard
14 Adobe fonts).
As I understand the R does not do this embedding. It inserts only
comments what font

Building a Back Blaze style POD
Hi All,
I am about to embark on a project that deals with allowing information archival, over time and seeing change over time as well. I can explain it a lot better, but I would certainly talk your ear off. I really don't have a lot of money to throw at the initial concept, but I have some. This device will host all of the operations for the first few months until I can afford to build a

Digium AEX410, MTNL Mumbai Caller-ID problems
Hi,
Continuing with the saga of Digium vs MTNL Mumbai, looking for
suggestions on handling incoming Caller-ID issues. The card manages to
grab a couple of (random) digits of the incoming CID, but they're more
or less useless. Is there any way to fix this?

Adding ScreenDC
Here is the file to add ScreenDC. I noticed that it inherits from wxDC
which is what the docs show but the headers for each platform are much
different:
- Mac,MSW,os2,motif,palmos all inherit from wxWindowDC
- X11,GTK inherit from wxPaintDC
- MGL, cocoa inherit from wxDC
After saying that on Windows it still work inheriting from wxDC so I
left it for now, any thoughts?

vpopmail support?
Well, I read that back in 0.98 or so vpopmail support should work so I assumed it would be enabled in 0.99 but here's what I get.

vpopmail - again
OK, dovecot compiles fine and starts up. I changed the auth_userinfo var to vpopmail, fired up imap-master and tried to login via webmail and my log spits out the following:

imap-login: Nov 26 14:50:51 Error: Can't connect to imap-auth at vpopmail: Connection Refused
Any ideas?
