ext3 and df don't agree ?
I've taken my RH7.1 system, rebuild kernel (2.4.9 with ext3 patches) and followed the ext3 instructions to install. Everything seems to work OK but - df -k doesn't list the ext3 partition (my root partition). Is this a known problem ? If not, how best can I gather diagnostics to identify the source of the problem ? Thanks -- Philip Nelson (teamdba@bojnice.com)

btrfs-0.13 breaks boot on reiserfs-3.6
Hi, I recompiled my kernel today, and when the btrfs-0.13 option is enabled (CONFIG_BTR_FS=y) I cannot boot on my reiserfs-3.6 partition any more. The kernel says that is cannot mount /dev/sdc6. I can boot the kernel when I recompile it with the same options and CONFIG_BTR_FS=n, and with the same boot options as well. Everything is amd64 on my system (kernel + programs). Here is a screenshot of

packages and Solaris
Hi folks, I''m about to propose to my current company that we use puppet to manage releases of home grown software. The environment is a mix of Solaris 8/9/10 and RHEL 5&6. I''ve got a handle on how to create recipes to release software into the RHEL environment. The unknown for me is how to manipulate the pkgadd provider to load the locally grown package stream. Can

hppa, powerpcspe: call for klibc/mksh testers
Hi, no mailing list for powerpcspe? What?s the progress of your architectures? I don?t see much happening on debian-ports.org, and taking your architectures off that infrastructure hurts others (I?ve ?revived? m68k and kept it running on d-p.o which helps a bit). Anyway: a new klibc (2.0~rc5-1) has been uploaded, and an mksh companion version (40.9.20120518-1) depending on it and trying to use

I'm using the doveadm import command to extract mails from my backup: % doveadm import -u restore at backup.invalid mdbox:/home/copymail/mdbox "" \ mailbox INBOX header Delivered-To backup+$SEARCHPATTERN at backup.invalid This works like a charm, I'm getting all the mails, and I can access the newly generated mailbox. But when executing the command I'm getting an

Best method for booting logical partions via syslinux...
Hi. Which is the preferable method for booting multiple logical partions via syslinux ? 1. Create seperate logical (fat 32) partitons for 'each' Live CD, extracted and prepared identically via syslinux/syslinux.cfg (sdc5, sdc6,sdc7 etc.) 2. Use Grub2 to attempt to boot seperate logical partitions with the same extracted Live CD plan as above. 3. Use the chain.c32 module that
