Sorry but I've posted an incomplete message before that:
I've got a big problem with my PDC (Mandrake 8.2 with samba 2.2.5):
when I try to join the domain from a W2KPRO (sp3) workstation the procedure
goes on well until it require to create a local account for a Domain user

Domain / Server disappear from network neighbourhood
Hello I attached my smb.conf as a reference but the problem is quite simple:
1) my server didn't show in the network neighbourhood
2) often the whole domain didn't show at all in the n.b. and if I try to
access it directly (i.e. typing the domain name) I got a strange error
("cannot find the network path")
P.S. Every single machine (server included) is viewable if

I changed it and anything seems to work better infact I can now join the domain and the machine account it's created...
BUT when the system ask me to create a new machine user the system give me this error:

Mapping hvm guest pages in Dom0
hello,
I would like to map (Read/Write) pages owned by a HVM guest from my Dom0
Linux kernel module. I have access to the "machine frame numbers" of these
pages.
1. What is the right interface to do this? kmap needs ''struct page'' ptrs
which I doubt exist for pages owned by a HVM guest. Is there a hypercall to
do this then?
2. Do I need to modify the HVM behavior in

problem logging on to samba domain (pdc) from a win x pworkstation
If I'm not mistaken, the sign or seal hack from samba2.2.3 is broken. Use
the newer hack or manually modify your registry.

Can't write to a disk share
Hi there. I'm running Samba 2.2.2 on a Red Hat 7.2 system. I've set up a
few disk shares (with the writable option set to yes), but I can't write to
them. I can read from them ok, so I don't know what the problem is. I'm
trying to write to the shares from a Windows 2000 Professional computer.
Here's a part of my logs that appear every time I try to write to a share:

how to find the helpers code ?
Hello,
i have the application set up on my radrails. I was looking at the view
generated by scaffold and i see a bunch of names, after looking up
internet i found that they are helpers and generate the HTML for us.
Now, i wanted to look at the helper code for start_form_tag, so that
based on that i could write some of my own helpers in my helper
classes... but i could not find the code

Xeno Linux never pins L1 tables ?
hi,
I''m developing my own 32-bit (no PAE) paravirtualized kernel for xen with
Mini-OS as a starting point. I am currently working on process page table
support (equivalent of arch/i386/mm/pgtable-xen.c) and mostly following
Linux for the moment. I noticed that linux-2.6.18-xen never pins an L1 table
(a pte), yet __pgd_pin() walks the page directory and gives up write access
on the kernel

Following the "security = domain in Samba 2.x" document in the SWAT
documentation page I do this:
root@pc194-79:/usr/local/samba/bin# smbpasswd -j MDU -r pv-mdu-server1
-Ujohnm%xxxxxxxx
Joined domain MDU.
root@pc194-79:/usr/local/samba/bin#
This is in [globals]:
security = DOMAIN
encrypt passwords = Yes
password server = pv-mdu-server1 pv-mdu-server2
And now I start Samba via smbd

Problems adding print drivers
Hey folks.
I am trying to set up a cups/samba printer server, and I am having trouble using cupsaddsmb.
I isolated the problem to a rpcclient and here is the information I gathered from the various commands.
If I delete all the files in "/var/lib/samba/drivers" cupsaddsmb installs the folders and files, but doesn't move the files in to the WIN40/0 folder with the adddriver

Login denied after joinined Samba PDC
Currently running samba 2.2.7 on rh8
I have not had any problems until recently, and I'm not sure exactly
what would have caused this problem. I have no problem joining a w2k
workstation to my domain, but whenever I attempt to log into the domain,
i receive the following error on the workstation:
The system cannot log you on to this domain because the system's
