Migrating RHEL 3 to Centos 5.2 - has Adaptec 2400a RAID
Greetings all. I'm new to the mailing list. Hope to get to know many
of you. I'll jump right in with a recent project. I have a machine with
RHEL WS 3 - Taroon; plus dual boot to Win 2000 Pro. The RAID card is
Adaptec's 2400A w/128 megs cache, running RAID 10 on 4 WD's. I want to
migrate to 5.2 Centos and wipe the NTFS partition. I have the 5.2 Centos

[LLVMdev] vmkit build problems
Hi Zoe,
Unfortunately, I don't have access to a x64 machine anymore, so I can't test
that architecture on vmkit. Could you install a virtual machine on your
machine that is x86_32? I know it has been successfully built and ran on
x86_32 on different systems.
Cheers,
Nicolas

[LLVMdev] vmkit build problems
Hi Nicolas,
No, I built llvm-gcc myself by checking it out via svn, using
these instructions:
http://llvm.org/docs/GCCFEBuildInstrs.html
thanks

Obtaining summary of frequencies of value occurrences for a variable in a multivariate dataset.
Hi all,
If the question below as been answered before I
apologize for the posting.
I would like to get the frequencies of occurrence of
all values in a given variable in a multivariate
dataset. In short for each variable (or field) a
summary of values contained with in a value:frequency
pair, there can be many such pairs for a given
variable. I would like to do the same for several such
variables.

[LLVMdev] vmkit build problems
Hi again Nicolas,
Can you please tell me the output of your llvm-gcc -v
and llvm-config -version?
Mine is below, perhaps its because I built llvm with enable-jit?
Do you have users of vmkit? ie has anyone other than
the llvm team been successful at building and running
vmkit?
I tried on a core2 machine (albeit also karmic) and have
the same problem.
Can you build a fresh machine (virtual

The delays on CentOS 5.6 are causing EPEL incompatibilities
There are significant components of the upstream 5.6 release which are
stuck behind the CentOS 5.6 release process, but are now incorporated
in EPEL 5 components. In particular, the "php53" package is now
necessary for the "drupal6" EPEL components, due to the long out of
date PHP 5.1 in the default upstream vendor's codebase.
I see that some of these components are

[LLVMdev] vmkit build problems
Hi,
Just to comfirm that I have just clean built the current LLVM and VMKIT
revisions and it failed too.
The problem seems to be the same one (about escape analysis in LLVM).
My configuration is Ubuntu 10.04 and GCC 4.4.3 on x86.
Cheers,
Chanwit

Thanks Alysson.
Unfortunately, those instructions don't work for me (I followed them exactly
using
a clean system) -- probably because of the recent changes
to the svn heads.
After fixing EscapeAnalysis in vmkit to use the updated
CallInst.getArgOperand interface
I hit the error below.
I was interested in using mmtk with the system (as recommended), but that
requires a llvm-gcc build (and

[LLVMdev] vmkit build problems
Hi Zoe,
maybe you've already solved your problem with VMKit configuration, but here
you can find a mini-tutorial
that I've done to guide people on VMKit installation.

Hello Nicolas,
Thank you for quick reply.
Is LLVM revision 107641 a good one to build with latest VMKIT?
Thanks,

2.4.21-27.0.1.ELsmp & megaraid2 problem
I've found a problem with CentOS 3 latest kernel (2.4.21-27.0.1.ELsmp)
and megaraid2 driver.
Hardware: Dell PE1600SC with CERC ATA100 RAID controller
The problem is somewhat similar, but not identical as:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=123289
After updating new glibc and kernel packages the new kernel don't boot.
Boot fails to mount root fs with "Cannot open

[LLVMdev] vmkit build problems
Thanks Nicolas for your help with my build problems with vmkit.
Yes, I was missing ant -- great catch (I'm on a newly installed
machine). That fix with this configuration, gets me to the error below.
Any thoughts (build tools, other I may be missing that are not checked for)?
Are there steps that you suggest I try to gather more information on
the problem? Also -- it seems to be building

[LLVMdev] vmkit and llvm 2.8
Hi All,
Has vmkit been updated and tested with LLVM 2.8?
I am unable to build it (llvm builds fine).
There were some errors with Makefile.rules:
$(Verb) $(LLVMAS) -f $(<F) -o - | $(LLC) -march=cpp -cppgen=contents -o $@
(march and cppgen options not recognized).
What I cannot get past is this one (the warnings concern me as well):

RHEL3 --> CentOS3 HP proliant 380
Hi,
I've got a HP 380 G2 which is running RHEL AS 3 Taroon update 1.
The current smp kernel 2.4.21-9smp is booting with a HPinitrd image.
Mostlikely generated with the HP proliant Service Pack for RHEL 3.
Now if I migrate this system to CentOS 3 and a new kernel will be
installed ,will that work ? Does the new centOS kernel use the same
config as the current RHEL kernel ?
Anyone done this

Samba 3 - ntlm_auth ntlmssp failing
Is /usr/bin/ntlm_auth --helper-protocol=squid-2.5-ntlmssp supposed to be
working at this stage of samba 3? With RH EL3 beta (taroon) which comes

the /usr/bin/ntlm_auth --helper-protocol=squid-2.5-basic helper works

fails (NTLMSSP
